The present investigation "Effect of essential oils and chia seed () in fortification of pineapple jam." was conducted during the year 2022-2023 at the Post harvest laboratory of Horticulture Department, Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka. The study investigated the effects of essential oil and chia seeds on the quality of pineapple jam.

Functional characterization and structural prediction of hypothetical proteins in monkeypox virus and identification of potential inhibitors.

The excessive activation of the monkeypox virus (MPXV-Congo_8-156) is linked to various skin and respiratory disorders such as rashes, fluid-filled blisters, swollen lymph nodes and encephalitis (inflammation of the brain), highlighting MPXV-Congo_8-156 as a promising target for drug intervention. Despite the effectiveness of Cidofovir, in inhibiting MPXV activity, its limited ability to penetrate the skin and its strong side effects restrict its application. To address this challenge, we screened 500 compounds capable of penetrating the skin and gastrointestinal tract to identify potent MPXV inhibitors.

Evaluation of the Algerbrush II rotating burr as a tool for inducing ocular surface failure in a mouse model.

Purpose: The Algerbrush II has been widely used to induce corneal and limbal injuries in animal models. The extent of injury varies with the duration of exposure, pressure from the placement of the burr, and the size of the burr. However, no study has explored the correlation between the duration of exposure and the severity of injury in mouse model with corneal and limbal stem cell deficiency (LSCD) induced using the Algerbrush II.

Groundwater is usually utilized as a drinking water asset everywhere. Therefore, groundwater defilement by poisonous radioactive metals such as uranium (VI) is a major concern due to the increase in nuclear power plants as well as their by-products which are released into the watercourses. Waste Uranium (VI) can be regarded as a by-product of the enrichment method used to produce atomic energy, and the hazard associated with this is due to the uranium radioactivity causing toxicity.

The Use of Panitumumab-IRDye800CW in a Novel Murine Model for Conjunctival Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Purpose: Conjunctival squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is a sight-threatening ocular surface malignancy with the primary treatment modality being surgical resection. To evaluate surgical imaging modalities to improve surgical resection, we established a novel murine model for conjunctival SCC to demonstrate the utility of panitumumab-IRDye800, a fluorescently labeled anti-epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) antibody.

Water quality (WQ) analysis is a critical stage in water resource management and should be handled immediately in order to control pollutants that could have a negative influence on the ecosystem. The dramatic increase in population, the use of fertilizers and pesticides, and the industrial revolution have resulted in severe effects on the WQ environment. As a result, the prediction of WQ greatly helped to monitor water pollution.

Biodegradation of P-nitro phenol using a novel bacterium Achromobacter denitrifacians isolated from industrial effluent water.

In the present investigation, Achromobacter denitrifacians was isolated from industrial wastewater and used in the degradation of para nitro-phenol. Experiments were made as a function of different carbon sources, organic and inorganic nitrogen sources and metal ions to analyse the removal efficiency of para nitro-phenol present in the industrial wastewater sources. Observations revealed that the rate of phenol biodegradation was significantly affected by pH, temperature of incubation, glucose, peptone and metal ion concentration.
