Objectives: Identify the impact of experiences in global health (GH) on the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) competencies in emergency medicine (EM) residents and describe the individual characteristics of EM residents with global health experience compared to those without.

Objectives: The objective was to research and develop a novel curriculum on administrative leadership development within the discipline of emergency medicine (EM) with the goal of establishing and implementing it through the world's EM professional organizations.

Methods: From 2016 to 2018 an assessment of different administrative and leadership programs was performed by researching and reviewing previously outlined curricula. Background: Short-term experiences in global health (STEGH) are increasingly common in medical education, as they can provide learners with opportunities for service, learning, and sharing perspectives. Academic institutions need high-quality preparatory curricula and mentorship to prepare learners for potential challenges in ethics, cultural sensitivity, and personal safety; however, availability and quality of these are variable.

Objective: The objective of this study is to create and evaluate an open-access, interactive massive open online course (MOOC) that prepares learners to safely and effectively participate in STEGH, permits flexible and asynchronous learning, is free of charge, and provides a certificate upon successful completion.

Introduction: Emergency Medicine is a medical specialty based on knowledge and skills required for the prevention, diagnosis and management of the acute and urgent aspects of illness and injury affecting patients of all age groups with a full spectrum of undifferentiated physical and behavioural disorders. Background: Ethiopians experience high rates of acute illness and injury that have been sub-optimally addressed by the existing health care system. High rates of patient morbidity and mortality prompted the Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) and the Addis Ababa University School of Medicine (AAU-SM) to prioritize the establishment of emergency medicine (EM) as a medical specialty in Ethiopia to meet this acute health system need.

Background: Morbidity and mortality due to the lack of an organized emergency medical care system are currently high in Ethiopia. Background: Intraosseous access has been used increasingly with proven efficacy in emergent situations for adults when intravenous access could not be obtained.

Objective: Our aim was to demonstrate if tibial intraosseous (IO) is an effective route for iodinated contrast administration and pulmonary vasculature visualization.

Case Report: We report on an obtunded patient requiring a computed tomography angiogram to help with diagnosis and tibial IO was the only viable access appropriate to withstand the pressure of a computed tomography iodinated contrast load.
