Evaluating the Effect of CPP-ACP as a Final Irrigant in Improving the Micro-Hardness of Erosive Root Dentin and its Influence on the Bond Strength of Self Etch Resin Sealer - An In-vitro Study.

Introduction: Smear layer removal from the root canal wall involves the use of 17% EDTA and 5.25% sodium hypochlorite, which thereby improves the adhesion of obturating materials to root dentin. But these chemical irrigants have shown to decrease micro hardness, increase roughness, cause erosion and reduce the root dentin fracture toughness.

Complicated canal morphology of mandibular first premolar.

The aim of this article was to report an unusual anatomic variation of mandibular first premolar, with one root and three distinct canals, which leave pulp chamber and merge short of apex to exit as two separate apical foramina. The incidence of three canals existing as two apical foramina has only been documented in the literature by a few case reports. To achieve successful endodontic treatment, the clinician has to identify the different canal configurations and treat them properly.

Comparison of fracture resistance and failure pattern of endodontically treated premolars with different esthetic onlay systems: An in vitro study.

Aim: To compare the fracture resistance and modes of failures of three different aesthetic MOD onlays on endodontically treated premolars.

Materials And Methods: Forty sound maxillary premolars were selected of which 10 untreated teeth were taken as control (Group I). The other thirty premolars were subjected to standardized MOD onlay preparations and root canal treatments and divided into 3 equal groups.

Role of fluoridated carbamide peroxide whitening gel in the remineralization of demineralized enamel: An in vitro study.

Introduction: The use of self-administered carbamide peroxide bleaching gels has become increasingly popular for whitening of discolored vital teeth. Studies have reported that its use may induce increased levels of sensitivity and surface roughness of the tooth due to demineralization. This study evaluates the effect of fluoride addition to the bleaching agent - its remineralizing capacity and alterations in the whitening properties.
