Homemade diet versusdiet industrialized for patients using alternative feeding tube at home - An integrative review.

Background: Enteral nutrition therapy can be provided using comercialized products (chemically defined formulas) or blenderized home-made preparations.

Objective: To perform an integrative review of the literature comparing the use of both type of formulation.

Methods: In this descriptive study papers published in English, Spanish or Portuguese Brazil, in journals indexed in the databases PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus, Web of Science and Bireme without the period 2010 to 2015 were reviewed The terms "enteral nutrition, foods, formulated, diet, homemade diet industrial and artisanal diet" according to the MeSH were used for the search.

Men's health: non-communicable chronic diseases and social vulnerability.

Objectives: to evaluate the relationship between absences in scheduled appointments and the number of non-communicable chronic diseases and to investigate the relationship between spatial distribution of these diseases and social vulnerability, using geoprocessing.

Method: a quantitative study of sequential mixed approach by analyzing 158 medical records of male users to relate the absences and 1250 medical records for geoprocessing.

Results: the higher the number of absences in the scheduled medical appointments, the less were the number of non-communicable chronic diseases and the ones listed in the International Classification of Diseases in single men.

Nursing consultation applied to hypertensive clients: application of Orem's self-care theory.

[Coping strategies developed by caregivers of elderly with chronic diseases].

Care for a dependent elderly individual with a chronic disease can be a threat and cause stress. Success in dealing with this situation will depend on coping strategies, defined as processes used in order to control the demands of the individual-environment relationship. In this study the goal was to detect coping strategies used by caregivers for the elderly.

Socioeconomic and demographic profile of leprosy carriers attended in nursing consultations.

Leprosy is a contagious infectious disease that manifests due to unfavorable socioeconomic factors, endemic levels and individual conditions. This study aimed to recognize the socioeconomic and demographic profile and degree of incapacity installed in leprosy carriers attended at the School Health Center in Botucatu. Data were obtained through nursing consultation performed in 37 patients.

[Patients' coping strategies during radiotherapy].

Cancer is a disease that entails inquiries and a wide range of problems for persons going through this experience, inevitably leading to stress, which is part of human life. There are different ways of adapting to a situation to cope with the stress. What makes a difference in this context are the coping strategies, defined as a process used to control the demands of the relationship between individual and environment, to be elaborated by the individual.

[Health habits and risk factors in hypertensive patients].

The purposes of this study were to assess the health habits related to risk factors in hospitalized hypertensive patients and to identify these patients' knowledge on the importance of controlling these factors. Thirty two hypertensive patients hospitalized at a University Hospital were interviewed. Although these patients mentioned that they controlled the risk factors for hypertension and that they knew about the importance of this control, a high blood pressure was observed even during hospitalization and the majority of them presented damage in target organs.
