Surgical outcomes for velopharyngeal insufficiency in velocardiofacial syndrome and nonsyndromic patients.

Objective: To compare speech outcomes after operative intervention for velopharyngeal insufficiency between velocardiofacial syndrome patients and nonsyndromic patients.

Design: Retrospective cohort study.
