Evaluation of adherence rates following ectopic pregnancy to inform management decisions in a public hospital system.

Introduction: Adherence to follow-up is an important consideration when treating non-emergent ectopic pregnancy. Our aim was to evaluate the management of ectopic pregnancy among patients in a public hospital system and to identify factors related to adherence of medical management in this population.

Material And Methods: A retrospective review to evaluate the management of ectopic pregnancy among women in a public hospital system, including all women undergoing treatment for ectopic pregnancy from 2012 to 2017.

Anti-programmed Death-1 Immunotherapy for Endometrial Cancer with Microsatellite Instability-High Tumors.

Among gynecologic malignancies, mismatch repair-deficient endometrial cancers show the greatest response to anti-programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) antibodies, such as pembrolizumab. Routine immunohistochemical (IHC) and molecular testing should be performed on all endometrial cancers at the time of diagnosis in order to identify endometrial cancers with mismatch repair deficiency that may show improved response to anti-PD-1 therapy in the progressive or metastatic setting. Institutional effort to enroll patients in clinical trials investigating the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors in endometrial cancer should be prioritized.

Surgery and Platinum/Etoposide-Based Chemotherapy for the Treatment of Epithelioid Trophoblastic Tumor.

Objective: Epithelioid trophoblastic tumor (ETT) is a rare variant of gestational trophoblastic neoplasia that develops from chorionic-type intermediate trophoblast, simulates carcinoma, presents years after a pregnancy event, is associated with low or normal human chorionic gonadotropin levels, and is relatively resistant to chemotherapy. Our aim was to identify the role of surgery in combination with platinum/etoposide-based chemotherapy in the management of both localized and metastatic ETT.

Methods: A retrospective review was performed of women with ETT treated at a gestational trophoblastic disease center from 2010 to 2016.

Prognosis and treatment of uterine leiomyosarcoma: A National Cancer Database study.

Objective: To determine overall survival and factors associated with survival of women with uterine leiomyosarcoma.

Methods: We performed an observational cohort study of women with uterine leiomyosarcoma (n=7455) from the 1998-2013 National Cancer Database. Kaplan-Meier and multivariable accelerated failure time survival analyses were performed to investigate predictors of survival.
