Background: More than 5-8 % of endoscopically removed rectal polyps presumed to be benign contain invasive carcinoma. Tattooing has been advocated for follow-up localization of the resection site. Despite proven benefits, the authors propose that tattooing is not routinely performed when benign-appearing rectal polyps are endoscopically excised, thereby confounding management when invasive cancer is found.

Aim: Nausea is a common symptom of gastroparesis (GP). The study is to determine the manifestations and impact of nausea in GP and to determine if there are any differences in diabetic (DG) and idiopathic gastroparesis (IG).

Methods: The patients referred for GP symptoms underwent gastric emptying scintigraphy and completed the Patient Assessment of Gastrointestinal Disorders-Symptom Severity Index (PAGI-SYM), Patient Assessment of Upper Gastrointestinal Disorders-Quality of Life (PAGI-QOL), SF-36v2 Health-Related Quality-of-Life survey, and the Nausea Profile (NP).
