Unlabelled: We present the chemical synthesis of polyethyleneimine-conjugated silver sulfide nanoparticles (PEI/AS) utilizing an economical solvothermal synthesis method, aimed at developing effective alternative antibacterial agents. The antibacterial efficacy of the synthesized materials, both with and without the application of near-infrared (NIR) laser irradiation, was evaluated in vitro against two distinct clinically relevant multi-drug-resistant (MDR) uropathogenic strains: and . The bactericidal effects induced by NIR light indicate that the PEI/AS nanoparticles possess an efficiency that is five times greater than that of AgS alone.

The development of a new Neodymium/Dysprosium metal-organic framework, referred to as Nd/Dy-BTC MOF, based on benzene-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid, has been achieved through an in situ growth process on 2D transition metal carbides (MXene) surfaces. This synthesis was conducted via a solvothermal method utilizing a solvent mixture of water, ethanol, and dimethylformamide. The primary objective of this research is to investigate the framework's efficacy as a photocatalyst for the degradation of anionic dye, as well as its potential for sensing certain explosives.

The present work is centred around the development of LaO/(BiO)CO/AgPO (LBA), a p-n-p nano-heterojunction to photodegrade doxycycline under visible light irradiation. Here, ultrasonication assisted co-precipitation method was employed to synthesize the photocatalyst. The photocatalyst was characterized using different analysis such as SEM, TEM, elemental mapping, XRD, XPS, FTIR, Raman, BET, DRS, PL and EIS which confirmed the successful fabrication of LBA and their excellent ability to refrain the e/h recombination owing to the construction of the heterojunction.

Novel ZnS-CuS nanohybrid supported on chitosan matrix, as an ideal photocatalyst, was fabricated by the sonochemical method wherein high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis confirmed the co-existence of both ZnS and CuS; presence of vacancy sites in ZnS was verified by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) analysis and their introduction could promote two-photon excitation facilitated visible light response and charge transport/separation. The type II interface is formed in the ZnS-CuS/Chitosan heterojunction owing to interstitial states that promote charge separation. The ZnS-CuS/Chitosan was used for the photodegradation of a pharmaceutical pollutant, p-chlorophenol (PCP); over 98.

In this work, the fabrication of the CuO on ZnCdS as a heterojunction nanocomposites were conducted by hydrothermal method and the synthesis method was confirmed by the XRD, XPS, EDS, UV-vis spectrum analysis. The CuO/ZnCdS was used as a photocathode in the bio-photoelectrochemical system (BPES) for tetracycline (TC) degradation under solar irradiation. The CuO/ZnCdS photocathode indicated substantial photocatalytic efficiency for TC degradation, due to the fast separation and transfer of photogenerated carriers.
