Introduction: Although DIEP (deep inferior epigastric perforator) is the gold standard for breast reconstruction, long-term results with a view to postoperative hairiness and flap skin colouration have rarely been described in the literature.
Methods: Patients who underwent DIEP flap breast reconstruction followed by NAC reconstruction between 2010 and 2019 were invited to our clinic for a survey and a clinical examination. A total of 781 patients were invited.
Two-pore domain K (K) channel activity was previously thought to be controlled primarily via a selectivity filter (SF) gate. However, recent crystal structures of TASK-1 and TASK-2 revealed a lower gate at the cytoplasmic pore entrance. Here, we report functional evidence of such a lower gate in the K channel K2P17.

Patients And Methods: A total 207 children with primary VUR who underwent non-acute Tc-DMSA scan were retrospectively evaluated.
Dent disease is an X-linked recessive renal tubular disorder characterized by proximal tubule dysfunction. Typical features include low molecular weight proteinuria, hypercalciuria, nephrocalcinosis, nephrolithiasis, rickets, and chronic renal failure. We present a case of a 6-year-old boy with nephrotic proteinuria without hypoalbuminemia or edema.

We observed a significant increase (17%) in bone density after one year and additional 3% increase after second year. No further fractures occurred.

Background: Validation of the 99mTc-DMSA planar scintigraphy accuracy for split renal function assessment and comparison with evaluation based on SPECT imaging both with and without CT attenuation correction.
Materials And Methods: For split renal function assessment two methods were used: A) planar scintigraphy based on anterior and posterior projections using correction for kidney depth calculated by the geometric mean; B) semi-quantitative evaluation based on SPECT (B1) and attenuation-corrected SPECT/CT (B2) images using locally developed software for kidney segmentation and voxel-based analysis. All three methods were performed with a phantom simulating body including pair of kidneys.
Background: Reduced renal parenchymal thickness (PT) is a parameter used by clinicians to assess the degree of hydronephrosis. In patients with a congenital hydronephrotic solitary functioning kidney (SFK), PT is difficult to determine as there is no comparison with the contralateral kidney. The aim of this study was to obtain ultrasound measurements of PT in children with normal SFK and to compare these data with PT measurements in children with two functioning kidneys.
