VaNoLaH trial: a study protocol-a multinational randomised controlled trial including two identical substudies comparing vaginal versus vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal surgery) hysterectomy or laparoscopic versus vNOTES hysterectomy.

Introduction: Hysterectomy is one of the most common surgeries performed in women. Minimally invasive methods are on the rise globally as they have been shown to decrease surgical morbidity compared with abdominal hysterectomy. Hysterectomy by vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES) is the latest innovation.

vNOTES (vaginal natural orifice transluminal surgery) gynecologic procedures in morbidly and super-morbidly obese women: five year experience.

Purpose: To analyze our experience with vNOTES gynecologic procedures in women with morbid and super morbid obesity to determine feasibility and compare outcomes with standard minimally invasive techniques.

Methods: Gynecologic procedures performed by three surgeons on women with a body mass index (BMI) ≥ 40 kg/m from 2017 to 2023. A subset of women with a BMI ≥ 50 kg/m was also analyzed.

Objective: To describe the first case of using a vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery approach to repair a uterine isthmocele.

Design: Stepwise explanation of the surgical technique using original video footage. This study was exempted from requiring hospital Institutional Review Board approval.

New Retroperitoneal Transvaginal Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery Approach to Sentinel Node for Endometrial Cancer: A Demonstration Video.

Study Objective: To assess whether sentinel node resection for endometrial cancer is feasible via retroperitoneal transvaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES) and gives better exposure than transperitoneal vNOTES.

Design: This is a first small IDEAL (Idea Development Exploration Assessment Long-term follow up) stage 1 study to assess the feasibility of a new approach; the technique is explained step-by-step using videos (Video 1) and pictures.

Setting: The gynecologic oncology department of a nonuniversity teaching hospital in Belgium.

Introduction: Natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) uses natural orifices to access the cavities of the human body to perform surgical interventions. NOTES limits the magnitude of surgical trauma and potentially reduces postoperative pain. Our group published a protocol on a randomised study comparing transvaginal NOTES (vNOTES) versus laparoscopy for hysterectomy (HALON).
