Outbreak of Mycobacterium avium subsp. avium infection in one flock of domestic pigeons.

An outbreak of Mycobacterium avium subsp. avium infection was diagnosed in one breed of domestic pigeons (Columba livia f. domestica) in the Czech Republic.

Mycobacterium avium Subsp. avium and Salmonella enterica serotype Typhimurium var. Copenhagen phage type DT2 in pigeons.

We report on a coinfection of Mycobacterium avium subsp. avium and Salmonella enterica serotype Typhimurium var. Copenhagen phage type DT2 in pigeons from one flock, from which squabs were occasionally consumed by humans.
