The capture and re-use of greenhouse fertigation water is an efficient use of fertilizer and limited water resources, although the practice is not without risk. Plant pathogens and chemical contaminants can build up over successive capture and re-use cycles; if not properly managed they can lead to reduced productivity or crop loss. There are numerous established and emerging water treatment technologies available to treat fertigation water.

Only one previous study has been conducted on this phenomenon, and the present study sought to provide new knowledge about the meaning of this practice for participants. We conducted a qualitative analysis of data derived from 68 individual experience descriptions and 25 semi-structured interviews with puppies and handlers.

Here we report two studies that investigated the relationships between maternal tendencies and two further measures of physical masculinization/feminization; urinary estrogen metabolite (estrone-3-glucuronide: E1-3G) levels (Study 1) and rated facial femininity (Study 2). In Study 1, nulliparous women reported both their ideal number of children and ideal own age at first child and also provided urine samples.
