Unlabelled: Offshore wind energy is increasingly becoming an important part of European and global low-emission power systems. The aims of this paper are to create a shared understanding on the major drivers of offshore wind development in Finland and to explore how these drivers, and opportunities for the entire industry, may develop over the twenty-first century, under different global futures. This research develops extended shared socioeconomic pathway (SSP) narratives for the offshore wind industry by using a virtual participatory workshop with expert stakeholders.

Synthetic cannabinoid and cathinone use among US soldiers.

New hallucinogenic drugs of abuse, known generically as "spice" and "bath salts," have become readily available in the United States. Spice is one of many names that refers to a variety of synthetic cannabinoids that act on the body in a way similar to delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). A large and complex variety of synthetic cannabinoids, most often cannabicyclohexanol, JWH-018, JWH-073, or HU-210, are used in an attempt to avoid the laws that make cannabis illegal, making synthetic cannabis a designer drug.

Sonographic Identification of Tube Thoracostomy Study (SITTS): Confirmation of Intrathoracic Placement.

Introduction: Thoracostomy tubes (TT) are commonly placed in the management of surgical, emergency, and trauma patients and chest radiographs (CXR) and computed tomography (CT) are performed to confirm placement. Ultrasound (US) has not previously been used as a means to confirm intrathoracic placement of chest tubes. This study involves a novel application of US to demonstrate chest tubes passing through the pleural line, thus confirming intrathoracic placement.

Eliminating common PACU delays.

This article discusses how one hospital identified patient flow delays in its PACU By using lean methods focused on eliminating waste, the team was able to improve patient flow. Lean thinking required the team to keep issues that were important to patients at top of mind. The improvements not only saved staff time, but they also helped the department prepare for the addition of six beds by focusing on methods to eliminate delays.
