Introduction The National Training Survey (NTS) is conducted annually by the General Medical Council (GMC) to monitor and report on the quality of postgraduate medical education and training. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic had a significant impact on training in cardiothoracic surgery due to the unprecedented restructuring of surgical activity across the UK. We aim to evaluate how the job satisfaction of cardiothoracic surgery trainees was impacted by COVID-19 using the National Training Survey.
