Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumor (IMT) is a rare soft tissue tumor characterized by proliferation of fibroblastic cells associated with an inflammatory infiltrate. Inflammatory myofibroblastic tumors have a predilection for the pediatric population and are usually found in the lung parenchyma but rarely at the carina. They rarely metastasize but can be locally destructive.
