As overall life expectancy grows, clinicians will be confronted more often with diseases that although devastating in the young individual, will not affect survival and possibly even quality of life for those in the older age groups. Prostate cancer is an example of this. The challenge for the physician caring for these patients is to distinguish who is at risk and how much risk so that decisions can be made regarding the propriety of prostate cancer detection and treatment of each individual.

While hypospadias surgery is most often responsible for creating this problem, excessive circumcision also can leave a patient with too little skin to cover the penis. To our knowledge we describe the first series of pediatric patients in whom FTSGs were used in a variety of difficult circumstances where penile skin was lacking.

Methods: A computerized database was used to review the medical records of all patients with congenital reflux diagnosed before 6 months of age from 1988 to 2002. Only those infants with reflux who were followed up for at least 6 months past the age of toilet training were included.
Urinary symptoms are prevalent in the geriatric population.Symptoms, however, often are misleading. Urodynamic evaluation can help target specific treatments of specific disorders.
