Currently, light-emitting diode (LED) technology has produced a more energy-efficient and versatile technology as an artificial lighting system that can be applied in the agricultural sector. Artificial lighting technology has been proven to be effective in increasing the production of agricultural products, especially horticultural commodities. As one of the primary horticulture commodities, tomatoes are the most common crop produced in controlled environments with LED artificial lighting.

An Enzyme-Responsive Self-Immolative Recognition Marker for Manipulating Cell-Cell Interactions.

The development of innovative strategies for cell membranes engineering is of prime interest to explore and manipulate cell-cell interactions. Herein, an enzyme-sensitive recognition marker that can be introduced on cell surface via bioorthogonal chemistry is designed. Once functionalized in this fashion, the cells gain the ability to assemble with cell partners coated with the complementary marker through non-covalent click chemistry.

Current treatments targeting individual protein quality control have limited efficacy in alleviating proteinopathies, highlighting the prerequisite for a common upstream druggable target capable of global proteostasis modulation. Building on our prior research establishing nuclear speckles as a pivotal membrane-less organelle responsible for global proteostasis transcriptional control, we aim to alleviate proteinopathies through nuclear speckle rejuvenation. We identified pyrvinium pamoate as a small-molecule nuclear speckle rejuvenator that enhances protein quality control while suppressing YAP1 signaling via decreasing the surface/interfacial tension of nuclear speckle condensates through interaction with the intrinsically disordered region of nuclear speckle scaffold protein SON.

We report a case of concurrent AML with multiple myeloma in a 44-year-old male along with a PUBMED-based research of previously reported similar cases in published literature.

Impact of sequential capacity building on emergency department organisational flow during COVID-19 pandemic: a quasi-experimental study in a low-resource, tertiary care centre.

Introduction: A quasi-experimental study was conducted to estimate the impact of sequential emergency department (ED) capacity building interventions on key performance indicators such as patients' length of stay (LOS) and wait time (WT) during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was achieved through augmenting personnel education and head count, space restructuring and workflow reorganisation.

Setting And Participants: This study included 268 352 patients presenting from January 2019 to December 2020 at Indus Hospital and Health network Karachi, a philanthropic tertiary healthcare facility in a city of 20 million residents.

Metastasis of primary signet ring cell carcinoma of prostate to bone marrow: A rare occurrence with review of literature.

We report a case of a 65-year-old male who presented with multiple enlarged intraabdominal lymph nodes with lytic lesions over pelvic and lumbar vertebrae. His serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) was markedly raised. Bone marrow investigation revealed the presence of diffuse infiltration of single cells having hyperchromatic nuclei, moderate amount of eosinophilic cytoplasm, and eccentrically placed nuclei resembling signet ring cells.

The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence, clinico-hematological profile and subtyping of acute leukemia cases by retrospective medical records.  A retrospective study was conducted in the Department of Hematology, Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Patna, Bihar, India, over 2 years from July 2019 to June 2021.

Purpose: Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is leading to greater therapeutic cost, length of hospital stays, adverse events, morbidity and mortality. Hospital-based antimicrobial stewardship programs (ASPs) engaging physicians, pharmacists, microbiologists and nurses are considered as effective way to ensure appropriate use of antimicrobial agents.
