Because of its relatively low cost, lack of ionizing radiation and great versatility, US is considered the imaging modality of choice to evaluate a large variety of pediatric conditions. Imaging of superficial structures and small anatomical parts can be at times limited with standard US. Recent advances in technology yielded ultra-high-frequency US systems that are capable of scanning with frequencies as high as 70 MHz and resolutions of 30 μm.

We describe the first case of ethmoid metastasis from an oropharyngeal human papillomavirus-induced squamous cell carcinoma using the anti-P16 immunohistochemistry. The p16 overexpression can be a valuable aid in the differential diagnosis.

The effectiveness and safety of the Impella ventricular assist device for high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions: A systematic review.

Background: Small randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and observational studies have examined the effectiveness and safety of the Impella device, a percutaneous left ventricular assist device, in the setting of high-risk percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). However, data are sparse and results are conflicting. Our objective was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the Impella device in high-risk patients undergoing PCI via a systematic review of the literature.
