Background: Assessing sleep disorders and understanding their causes are essential for the proper treatment and management of the disorders. The Holland Sleep Disorders Questionnaire (HSDQ) is a self-assessment questionnaire that measures sleep problems and symptoms based on the six categories of sleep disorders described in the International Classification of Sleep Disorders-2 (ICSD-2). The aim of this study was at validating and assessing the psychometric properties of the HSDQ in Iranian adults.

Methods: In this retrospective study, 234 patients with AF underwent concomitant valvular replacement and maze procedure.
The normal reference value of the global longitudinal left atrial strain during the reservoir phase (LASr) by 3D speckle-tracking echocardiography (3DSTE) is needed to define the abnormal and normal spectra and to compare and interpret the obtained values. The present study is a meta-analysis of 3DSTE-derived normal reference value of the longitudinal LASr and an attempt to determine probable contributing factors in the variations of reported ranges. The databases of PubMed, Scopus, and Embase were searched for the following keywordS: "Left atrial/left atrium" and "strain/speckle/deformation" and "three-dimensional/3-dimensional/three dimensional/3 dimensional/three dimension/3 dimension/three-dimension/3-dimension/3D/3-D".

We aimed to examine the effect of early short-term minocycline on the left ventricular function following ST-elevation myocardial infarction treated by the primary percutaneous coronary intervention.
Methods: In this double-blind, randomized controlled trial, data of 73 patients STEMI patients who were candidates for primary PCI were enrolled.
Background: ABO blood groups are considered to be associated with cardiovascular disease. Nonetheless, the definite effect of ABO blood groups on the clinical outcome of coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) is still undetermined. We evaluated whether ABO blood groups can predict long-term major adverse cardiocerebrovascular events (MACCE) in CABG patients.

Over time more RAS genes have been tested and more sensitive techniques used.
Aims: To review routine care RAS testing and results over time.
Background: Atrioventricular block (AVB) is an important complication following valvular surgery. Several factors including inflammation-mediated injury might trigger AVB.
Methods: Patients with advanced postoperative AVB were randomly assigned to receive either dexamethasone (0.
The opportunistic pathogen, , uses different mechanisms as well as biofilm production to acquire antibiotic resistance. The polysaccharide synthesis locus () genes play an important role in biofilm formation. Therefore, targeting the expression of genes can be a suitable strategy to prevent the formation of biofilms by antibiotic-resistant strains.

Primary care providers such as general practitioners and family physicians are the essential part of mental health care services; however, mental health is often underestimated and underprioritized by family physicians. It is currently not known what is required to increase care providers' willingness, comfort, and skills to adequately provide care to patients who present with mental health issues.

Although genomic analysis has helped elucidate differences in survival, there is evidence that racial disparities may influence outcomes. African Americans have a higher incidence of meningiomas and poorer survival outcomes.

Accordingly, we aimed to define the normal range values of RA phasic function markers obtained by 2D speckle-tracking echocardiography through a meta-analysis and determine the main sources of heterogeneity among reported values. PUBMED, SCOPUS, and EMBASE databases were searched for the following keywords: "right atrial/right atrium" and "strain/speckle/deformation" and "echocardiography.

Closure of ASDs eliminates left-to-right shunt and reduces right heart volumes, but the effects of ASD closure, on the left ventricle (LV) and mitral valve competence are somewhat inconsistent. Therefore, we designed this study to evaluate the early effect of percutaneous closure of ASD on LV function and mitral regurgitation (MR) severity.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, research has shown promises in building COVID-19 screening tools using cough recordings as a convenient and inexpensive alternative to current testing techniques. In this paper, we present a novel and fully automated algorithm framework for cough extraction and COVID-19 detection using a combination of signal processing and machine learning techniques. It involves extracting cough episodes from audios of a diverse real-world noisy conditions and then screening for the COVID-19 infection based on the cough characteristics.

Determining when a patient can be discharged from a care setting is critical to optimize the utilization and delivery of timely care. Furthermore, timely discharge can lead to better clinical outcomes by effectively mitigating the prolonged length of stay in a care environment. This paper presents a novel algorithm for the prediction of likelihood of patient discharge within the next 24 or 48 hours from acute or critical care environments on a daily basis.

Methods: Four EM residents with prior focused cardiac ultrasound (FOCUS) experience participated in 10 hours of hands-on training and then performed TAPSE measurements in adult patients at high risk of having pulmonary emboli (PE) between December 2020 and April 2021. Patients underwent bedside echocardiography by cardiology residents, and a CT pulmonary angiogram (CTPA) was performed to confirm the diagnosis.
This study aims at investigating the manufacturing and characterization of all-polylactide composites prepared by melt spunbond spinning technology. To do so, a series of asymmetric stereocomplex polylactide (SC-PLA) blends (PLLA 95 wt%/PDLA 5 wt%) was melt spun. To examine the impact of molecular structure of PDLA, the blends of linear PLLA, and low and high molecular weight as well as branched PDLAs, were subjected to a single step spunbond process.

Barrier properties of packaging and physiological behaviour of produce, namely respiration and transpiration can affect headspace conditions surrounding produce and consequently remaining shelf life. Packaging material also plays a role in heat and mass transfer, such as thermal conduction and permeation of O, CO and water vapour.

Health care systems and patients' conditions, in particular, were disrupted due to canceling elective surgery. To put it more sharply, a delay in performing elective surgery may potentially impact patients' survival and the quality of their lives.
