Relationship between Dental Caries Experience and the Levels of Streptococcus mutans and Lactobacillus in Saliva of Pregnant Women.

Pregnancy-related changes may increase the risk of dental caries. The Cariogram software program was created to understand this risk better. This study aims to correlate dental caries experience with Streptococcus mutans and lactobacillus levels in saliva using real-time PCR.

Velopharyngeal and choanal stenosis after radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Choanal stenosis is a well recognized late complication of radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma. However velopharyngeal stenosis post radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma is rare. We present here a case of bilateral choanal stenosis and velopharyngeal stenosis in a patient treated with radiotherapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

Supplementation of retrobulbar block with clonidine in vitreoretinal surgery: effect on postoperative pain.

Study Objective: To evaluate the effect of clonidine when added to local anesthetics on duration of postoperative analgesia during retrobulbar block.

Design: Prospective, randomized controlled trial.
