Health care delivery shifted and adapted with the COVID-19 pandemic caused by the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. Stroke care was negatively affected across the care continuum and may lead to poor community living outcomes in those who survived a stroke during the ongoing pandemic. For instance, delays in seeking care, changes in length of stays, and shifts in discharge patterns were observed during the pandemic.

Smartphone and mHealth Use After Stroke: Results From a Pilot Survey.

Advances in smartphone technology have revolutionized health care providing innovative approaches to improve health and well-being. Emerging mobile health (mHealth) apps are becoming increasingly available and offer opportunities to support self-management needs in people with stroke; however, experiences with mHealth among this population are not well understood. The objective of this study is to conduct a cross-sectional survey on smartphone and mHealth app use for adults with stroke.
