SrBPO: Ce, Dy - A cold white-light emitting phosphor.

A single-component white-light emitting phosphor SrBPO: Ce, Dy with high color purity, good quantum efficiency and high thermal stability was prepared through the conventional high temperature solid state reaction. PXRD studies confirmed its phase purity. The suitability of Strontium borophosphate as a host for phosphor was confirmed through DFT calculations.

Thermoelectric properties of Se and Zn/Cd/Sn double substituted CoSb skutterudite compounds.

Double-doped skutterudite CoSb compounds are reported as a good n-type thermoelectric system which operate in the mid-temperature range. Instead of filling the skutterudite phase to minimize the thermal conductivity, it is proposed to induce disorder in the pnicogen rings by the substitution of Zn/Cd/Sn and Se. Structural analyses of the prepared compounds were carried out by Rietveld refinement process.
