This study presents an in-depth investigation into the wear characteristics of ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) composites reinforced with microsized MoS and nanosized graphite particles. The objective is to enhance the wear resistance of the UHMWPE by examining the effects of various parameters and optimizing the wear performance. To achieve this goal, wet wear tests were conducted under controlled conditions, and the results were compared between composites with micro MoS and nano graphite reinforcements.

Herein, GdOF: Eu/Tb ultrafine red and green phosphors were synthesized via a rapid, green microwave-assisted hydrothermal method at 150 °C. The phosphors synthesized by this novel method possess good luminescent intensity for the hypersensitive D→F transition of Eu and D→F transition of Tb ions as compared to the phosphors prepared via other conventional methods such as co-precipitation synthesis, sol-gel synthesis, and microwave-assisted co-precipitation synthesis.

Non-linear optical (NLO) measurements were performed using a Z-scan approach in the wavelength range of 700-1000 nm. The open aperture Z-scan signatures for the Eu-containing glasses embedded with and without the Au NPs established a reverse saturable absorption (RSA) at all of the studied wavelengths ascribed to the two-photon absorption (2PA).

The aim of the present study was to assess the Prevalence of Developmental Defects of Enamel and its Association with, Dental-Caries and Nutritional Status in Pre-School Children of Lucknow, India.
Materials And Methods: Multistage Sampling was done.
Aim: To assess the effectiveness of outreach program in the 12 years school going children during a three year follow up period of Lucknow city.
Materials And Methods: A random sample of 298 school going children of age 12 years was drawn from adopted schools of Lucknow. Three years later the same population was re-examined with a population of 242 children of 15 y age group.
Cardiac arrhythmias including supraventricular tachycardia are commonly encountered during pregnancy. The case of a young Indian woman with recurrent attacks of supraventricular tachycardia during pregnancy which was managed with adenosine and verapamil is reported. The possible mechanisms of maternal and fetal complications are discussed.
