This paper present a challenging case of a right ventricular mass in a patient who was at high surgical risk for open removal. The minimally invasive AngioVac device has been used with a successful 50% reduction in mass burden. This report illustrates AngioVac as a safe alternative to invasive surgery.

Studies on TCW's anti-cancer properties are limited and the mechanism of its anti-cancer effects have not been defined.
Objective: In the present study, we investigate TCW for its anti-cancer properties and, using untargeted metabolomics, we identify components form TCW with potential anti-cancer activity.
Background: Acute pulmonary embolism (APE) is the third most common cause of vascular death. Data on APE from India and other low-and middle-income countries is sparse.
Objectives: Study the clinical characteristics, prognostic factors, in-hospital mortality (IMH) and 12 months mortality of patients with APE in India.
Background: This study aimed to investigate the effect of fascial manipulation (FM) of the deep cervical fascia (DCF) and sequential yoga poses (SYP) on pain and function in individuals with mechanical neck pain (MNP).
Method: Following the predefined criteria, ninety-nine individuals with MNP were recruited, randomised, and assigned to either the intervention group (IG) (n = 51) or the control group (CG) (n = 48). Individuals in the IG received FM (4 sessions in 4 weeks) and the home-based SYP (4 weeks).
Orbital floor fractures are routinely encountered in facial trauma. Many factors influence the final outcome of the orbital floor surgery, time interval and the extent of other facial bone fractures are the two factors which can significantly influence the postoperative outcome following orbital floor reconstruction. Our study aims to find the ideal time for intervention and the association of other factors in the final outcome of orbital floor reconstruction.

Methods: Extracted permanent mandibular first molars were collected along with the related demographic details. A total of 40 teeth were included in this study, 20 each from young age group (YA group) (20-44 years) and older age group (OA group) (45-70 years).
Due to the proportionally high mortality rates associated with isolated tricuspid valve surgery, the invasive treatment of such pathology, historically, has been left largely unaddressed. Recently, there has been an appreciation for the mortality and morbidity of tricuspid valve disease, giving rise to the movement towards identifying less invasive, transcatheter approaches for treatment. Due to the technical complexity of these procedures along with the uniqueness and variability of tricuspid valve anatomy, a better appreciation of the tricuspid valve anatomy and pathology is required for pre-procedural planning.

We investigated the association between chronic heat exposures and Micronuclei (MN) frequency in lymphocytes of 120 workers employed in the steel industry. There was a significant increase in the MN-frequency in exposed workers compared to the unexposed workers .

Immunocompetent hosts can also be affected. Isolated endobronchial mucormycosis is rare with only a few cases reported in the literature.

Background: Spontaneous pneumomediastinum is an uncommon disorder. There is a lack of information on spontaneous pneumomediastinum in India. We aimed to understand the clinical profile, hospital course, and long-term outcome of such patients.

Autoimmune hepatitis is an inflammatory condition of the liver that can lead to significant morbidity and mortality. Corticosteroids with or without azathioprine have been shown to improve outcome and are the current standard of care in autoimmune hepatitis patients. However, long-term use of corticosteroids and use of azathioprine could be associated with significant adverse effects that prevent their continued use at optimal dosages or may even require complete cessation.

Both presented with progressive effort intolerance without a history suggestive of acute coronary event. LA myxoma was diagnosed by transthoracic echocardiography, which also detected severe systolic dysfunction and LV dilatation.

A BCI translates the VEP signals into user commands. The frequency band from which stimulation frequency can be selected is limited for SSVEP.

Better understanding of the role of hypertension (HTN) has led to new Joint National Committee (JNC-7) guidelines for its diagnosis and management. The authors aimed to evaluate the predictors and correlates of prehypertension (PreHTN) among adults in urban India.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAngiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) are often used in preventing and treating heart failure due to regurgitant valve disease. The majority of patients with symptomatic rheumatic heart disease (RHD) have significant mitral stenosis (MS) and are denied ACEI therapy, because of the fear of hypotension in the presence of fixed obstruction. The authors assessed the safety and efficacy of ACEI in 109 consecutive patients with RHD and with significant mitral stenosis (mitral valve orifice, MVO < 1.

We aimed to study the role of transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) in estimating the PVF Doppler abnormalities in ASD. By repeating the study soon after ASD closure, we correlated the hemodynamics of atrial shunting with PVF patterns.

Each subject received a single 1,000-mg oral dose of cefprozil consisting of cis and trans isomers in an approximately 90:10 ratio. Serial blood, urine, and breast milk samples were collected and analyzed for the concentrations of the cis and trans isomers by a specific high-pressure liquid chromatography-UV assay.
