Article Synopsis
  • ME/CFS is a serious illness that makes people very tired, affecting about 1 out of every 100 people worldwide, and it's hard for doctors to measure how tired someone really feels.
  • Researchers looked at 60 studies with over 7,000 ME/CFS patients to understand how bad their fatigue was and found that most had a fatigue level of about 78 out of 100.
  • The study showed that fatigue can be different for people based on their age, the type of treatments they receive, and how their fatigue is measured.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, lung disorders have become a major health concern for humans. Allergic asthma is the most prevalent form of asthma, and its treatments target the inflammation process. Despite significant developments in the diagnosis and management of allergic asthma, side effects are a major concern.

Particulate matter (PM) 10 refers to fine dust with a diameter of less than 10 µm and induces apoptosis and inflammatory responses through oxidative stress. Tanaka is a citrus fruit and contains bioactive flavonoids including naringin. In the present study, we aimed to identify the preventive effect of Tanaka peel extract (CPE) against PM-induced lung injury.

Bacterial biofilm residing in the oral cavity is closely related to the initiation and persistence of various dental diseases. Previously, we reported the anti-biofilm activity of lipoteichoic acid (Lp.LTA) on a representative dental cariogenic pathogen, .

In this study, the survival capacity (acid and bile salt tolerance, and adhesion to gut epithelial cells) and probiotic properties (enzyme activity-inhibition and anti-inflammatory activities, inhibition of adipogenesis, and stress hormone level reduction) of LRCC5314, isolated from kimchi (Korean traditional fermented cabbage), were investigated. LRCC5314 exhibited very stable survival at ph 2.0 and in 0.

The radiation effects on a multi-nanosheet tunneling-based field effect transistor (NS-TFET) were investigated for a 3-nm technology node using a three-dimensional (3D) technology computer-aided design (TCAD) simulator. An alpha particle was injected into a field effect transistor (FET), which resulted in a drain current fluctuation and caused the integrated circuit to malfunction as the result of a soft-error-rate (SER) issue. It was subsequently observed that radiation effects on NS-TFET were completely different from a conventional drift-diffusion (DD)-based FET.

A novel, rapid, simultaneous analysis method for five sugars (fructose, glucose, sucrose, maltose, and lactose) and eight sugar alcohols (erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol, mannitol, inositol, maltitol, lactitol, and isomalt) was developed using UPLC-ELSD, without derivatization. The analysis conditions, including the gradient conditions, modifier concentration and column length, were optimized. Thirteen sugars and sugar alcohols were separated well and the resolution of their peaks was above 1.
