The complications of replacement resorption following tooth injury in growing children include infrapositioning of the tooth, tilting of the adjacent teeth, and alveolar ridge deformity. Decoronation is a conservative treatment method that facilitates bone preservation. The current case report focuses on the long-term preservation of alveolar ridge dimension following decoronation in three patients.

In this study, fracture resistance was evaluated according to the post-diameter and -length in zirconia crown restorations on three-dimensional printed primary incisors undergone pulpectomy. One hundred-and-sixty primary incisor abutments were used which were artificially fabricated through 3D-printing. Each group was divided into two subgroups based on the zirconia post-diameter (1.

Extraction of affected teeth is the preferred treatment modality for prevention of possible complications. It is rare for a primary molar to temporarily exhibit secondary failure of eruption, followed by regeneration of full eruptive capacity.

To help understand the vesicular glutamate transporter (VGLUT)-mediated glutamate signaling in TRPA1-immunopositive (+) neurons, we examined the expression of VGLUT1 and VGLUT2 in the TRPA1+ neurons in the male rat trigeminal ganglion (n = 19) under normal conditions and following experimental inflammation in the vibrissal pad by light microscopic immunohistochemistry (n = 11), western blot (n = 8), and quantitative analysis. One half (50.

This study investigated the morphologic differences of parvalbumin (PV)-positive (+) myelinated fibers in 3 different regions of the human dental pulp.
Methods: Light and electron microscopic immunohistochemistry for parvalbumin, a marker for myelinated fibers, and quantitative analysis were performed in the apical root, core of coronal pulp, and peripheral pulp of human premolar teeth.
The contributions of chain ends and branch points to surface segregation of long-branched chains in blends with linear chains have been studied using neutron reflectometry and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy for a series of novel, well-defined polystyrenes. A linear response theory accounting for the number and type of branch points and chain ends is consistent with surface excesses and composition profile decay lengths, and allows the first determination of branch point potentials. Surface excess is determined primarily by chain ends with branch points playing a secondary role.

Studies from several countries have shown that the IgE-mediated allergy to storage mites is of considerable importance, especially in rural populations. This study aimed to identify and characterize new allergens from Tyrophagus putrescentiae.

Characterization of storage mite allergens is important for the development of diagnostic and therapeutic agents against mite-associated allergic disorders. Here we report on the cloning and expression of alpha-tubulin from the storage mite (Tyrophagus putrescentiae).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe storage mite, Tyrophagus putrescentiae, is one of the important causes of allergic disorders. Fifteen allergenic components were demonstrated in storage mite by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and immunoblotting, but only the group 2 allergen Tyr p 2 has been cloned and characterized. In this study, we attempted to identify and characterize new allergens from T.

A series of 20 hepatocellular carcinomas and 8 intrahepatic cholangiocarcinomas was screened from the Korean population for microsatellite alterations, including a loss of heterozygosity and replication errors using nine microsatellite markers containing several genes. The microsatellite results and our previous comparative genomic hybridization results of two tumors were compared at each locus, and the correlations between these and clinicopathologic variables were examined. The most characteristic findings were found at 13q.
