- A new integral imaging microscope with extended depth-of-field (DoF) was developed using a bifocal holographic micro lens array (MLA).
- Properties of two MLAs are multiplexed through a method called peristrophic multiplexing, where each MLA's features are recorded at right angles on a single holographic optical element (HOE).
- Experimental results showed that this innovative approach successfully enhances the DoF of the integral imaging microscopy system.
