In this paper, a concept of integrated CO capture and reverse water-gas shift (ICCrWGS) process was proposed using NH as the H carrier. The CO efficiency and total thermal energy consumption for the conventional rWGS, ICCrWGS using H (H-ICCrWGS) and NH (NH-ICCrWGS), were calculated. ICCrWGS using H and NH was conducted over the thermally stable Ni/CaZr dual-function materials (DFMs).

Additionally, the effect of antioxidants such as quercetin (QC) and -acetyl-L-cysteine (NAC) on the neuroprotective activity of CPH was evaluated. The mouse-derived hippocampal neuronal cell line HT22 was pretreated with CPH or a mixture of CPH and QC or NAC.

To prepare the composite without a surface treatment, the simplest way to manufacture an advanced ceramic-particle is devised. The method is the formation of a nanocrystalline composite layer through the simple liquid-phase sintering.

However, the effect of exercise can differ among individuals, even with exercise of the same type and intensity. Therefore, this study aims to confirm whether endurance training (ETR) has the same health-promoting effects on the musculoskeletal and hematopoietic systems regardless of age.

In this study, 84 male weaned piglets were used in a 21-day feeding trial to investigate the effects of feeding either medium-grain or long-grain extruded rice or wheat, in a factorial combination with protein sources of either vegetable or animal origin, on postweaning performance, shedding of β-haemolytic , and the coefficient of total tract apparent digestibility (CTTAD). Pigs fed either rice type performed the same ( > 0.

The average charging period of EVs is still time-consuming, compared with the short refueling time of an internal combustion engine vehicle. With the guidance from the United States Department of Energy, the charging time of refilling 60% of the battery capacity should be less than 6 min for EVs, indicating that the corresponding charging rate for the cathode materials is to be greater than 6C.

Recently, two oral-administered peptide pharmaceuticals, semaglutide and octreotide, have been developed and are considered as a breakthrough in peptide and protein drug delivery system development. In 2019, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved an oral dosage form of semaglutide developed by Novo Nordisk (Rybelsus) for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Subsequently, the octreotide capsule (Mycapssa), developed through Chiasma's Transient Permeation Enhancer (TPE) technology, also received FDA approval in 2020 for the treatment of acromegaly.

Therefore, the AE147 peptide-conjugated nanocarrier system may hold the potential for active targeting of metastatic tumors.
Methods: The AE147 peptide, an antagonist of uPAR, was conjugated to the PEGylated liposomes for targeting metastatic tumors overexpressing uPAR.
The use of photo-based nanomedicine in imaging and therapy has grown rapidly. The property of light in converting its energy into different forms has been exploited in the fields of optical imaging (OI) and phototherapy (PT) for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. The development of nanotechnology offers numerous advantages to overcome the challenges of OI and PT.

The gold standard method for diagnosis of diabetes mellitus (DM) is to check levels of glucose or HbA1C in plasma or serum. The purpose of this study was to examine whether Salivary CSP1 concentration would be useful alternative for DM diagnosis.

The integration of a solid electrolyte with electrodes without interfacial degradation is an integral part of enabling high-performance all-solid-state batteries. Here we highlight that additive-assisted solid-state reactions using high-energy ball-milling and multistep heating can be an effective approach to lower the processing temperatures of cubic Li7La3Zr2O12 garnet. The obtained total Li conductivity is 1.

One hundred forty-four male pigs (28-day-old) were sorted by initial body weight (BW) and allocated to one of six experimental treatments: 1) GS environment without any additive (GS-CTR); 2) GS environment with 0.01% stimbiotic (GS-STB); 3) PS environment (without cleaning and disinfection of a previously populated room) without any additive (PS-CTR); 4) PS environment with 0.

While the interface stability is dictated by thermodynamics, making use of passivation materials often delays interfacial degradation and extends the cycle life of all-solid cells. In this work, we investigated antiperovskite lithium oxychloride, LiOCl, as a promising passivation material that can engineer the properties of solid electrolyte-Li metal interfaces.

Six 8-week-old male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were put on control (CON; standard chow diet), HF (HFD intake), and HFEx (HFD + low-intensity treadmill exercise) for 6 weeks. As a result, no change in body weight was observed among the groups.

The as-deposited SnO₂ thin films consist of a tetragonal SnO₂ phase and densely packed nanosized grains with diameters of approximately 20-80 nm, which are separated by microcracks. The as-deposited SnO₂ thin film is well crystallized, with a dense columnar nanostructure grown directly onto the alumina material and the Pt electrodes.

Tryptophan competes with other large neutral amino acids (LNAA: tyrosine, isoleucine, leucine, valine, and phenylalanine) to cross the blood-brain barrier; therefore, the regulation of circulating LNAA can influence Trp availability in the cortex and serotonin biosynthesis. The hypothesis examined in this study was that increased supplementation of dietary Trp and a reduction in LNAA for weaned pigs experimentally infected with enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC; F4) will increase Trp availability in plasma and reduce indices of the stress response, which will translate to reduced production losses.
