If the sodium voltage-gated channel alpha subunit 1 () gene, which encodes Nav1.1 protein, undergoes pathological mutation, it results in a wide range of epileptic syndrome, including febrile seizure, genetic epilepsy with febrile seizure plus (GEFS+), and developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE), including Dravet syndrome. Textile effluent carries a range of dyes that may be recalcitrant and resistant to biodegradation. A unique consortium of the Fimbristylis dichotoma and Saccharomyces cerevisiae is exploited for the biodegradation of an azo dye Rubine GFL and actual textile effluent. This consortium enhances the rate of biodegradation of Rubine GFL and actual textile effluent with an excellent rate of biodegradation of 92% for Rubine GFL and 68% for actual textile effluent when compared to the individual one within 96 h.

A rare but well-known anesthetic side effect is acute parotid gland enlargement after general anesthesia, sometimes known as anesthesia mumps or acute post-operative sialadenitis. Acute dehydration, obstruction of glandular excretory ducts caused by the position of the patient, and/or medications such as atropine that increase saliva viscosity have all been proposed as potential causes, while the specific cause is still unknown. In this study, a novel synthetic method for cobalt oxide (CoO) nanoparticles using Bos taurus (A-2) urine as a reducing agent was developed. In addition to this ZnO nanorods were produced hydrothermally and a nanocomposite is formed through a solid-state reaction. Current guidelines recommend primary osteoporosis screening for at-risk men to reduce the morbidity, mortality, and cost associated with osteoporotic fractures. However, analyses in a national Veterans Health Administration cohort of over 4,000,000 men demonstrated that primary osteoporosis screening as it is currently operationalized does not benefit most older Veterans due to inefficient targeting and low subsequent treatment and adherence rates. The overall objective of this study is to determine whether a new model of primary osteoporosis screening reduces fracture risk compared to usual care.
