Material And Methods: A monocentric study was conducted including all patients undergoing ESD between January 2015 and December 2017.

Objective: To describe experiences of health systems implementing a redesigned outpatient AVS in commercially available electronic health record (EHR) systems to inform future optimization.

Materials And Methods: We conducted semi-structured interviews with information technology and clinical leaders at 12 hospital and community-based healthcare institutions across the continental United States focusing on the process of AVS redesign and implementation.

Gastroparesis is a challenging functional gastroenterological disorder, the complex pathophysiology of which hampers development of therapeutic modalities. Selective inhibition of human cathepsin S by 2,4,6-trisubstituted 1,3,5-triazine analogs.

We report herein the synthesis and biological evaluation of a new series of 2,4,6-trisubstituted 1,3,5-triazines as reversible inhibitors of human cysteine cathepsins. The desired products bearing morpholine and N-Boc piperidine, respectively, were obtained in three to four steps from commercially available trichlorotriazine. Seventeen hitherto unknown compounds were evaluated in vitro against various cathepsins for their inhibitory properties.

Small-sized plastic debris are an increasing global concern, particularly in environmental protected areas. Consequently, tourism-based economy of poor coastal regions is also impaired. Nevertheless, little interest has been shown about recycling approaches of such materials, mostly because of the natural degradation of polymers on these conditions.

Background: Gastroparesis is a functional disorder with a variety of symptoms that is characterized by delayed gastric emptying in the absence of mechanical obstruction. A recent series of retrospective studies has demonstrated that peroral endoscopic pyloromyotomy (G-POEM) is a promising endoscopic procedure for treating patients with refractory gastroparesis. Comprehensive comparative analysis of 5'-end RNA-sequencing methods.

Specialized RNA-seq methods are required to identify the 5' ends of transcripts, which are critical for studies of gene regulation, but these methods have not been systematically benchmarked. We directly compared six such methods, including the performance of five methods on a single human cellular RNA sample and a new spike-in RNA assay that helps circumvent challenges resulting from uncertainties in annotation and RNA processing. We found that the 'cap analysis of gene expression' (CAGE) method performed best for mRNA and that most of its unannotated peaks were supported by evidence from other genomic methods.

Wellness room as a strategy to reduce occupational stress: quasi-experimental study.

Objective: To compare occupational stress levels of nurse staff working in the surgical unit before and after the intervention "wellness room".

Method: Quasi-experimental study with a sample of 60 nurse staff working in a surgical unit of a teaching hospital in the Southern Region of Brazil. The intervention was conducted in a room in the workplace for six months and consisted of sections of aesthetic care, relaxation, lectures and workshops to reduce occupational stress.

Introduction: Upper digestive symptoms may be present in up to 50% of patients with primary Sjögren syndrome (pSS). We report a retrospective cohort of gastroparesis in a population of pSS presenting unexplained dyspepsia. Delayed gastric emptying was defined by a gastric emptying time above 113min or by a retention percentage at 4h more than 10% on scintigraphy.
