Background: Early identification and management of metastases in prostate cancer (PC) patients is crucial. This study aimed to describe the nonpharmacological management and characteristics of patients with castration-resistant PC with unknown metastatic status (CRPC-MX) and estimate their prevalence in Spain.
Methods: Cross-sectional, multicenter, real-world study including adult (≥18 years) CRPC-MX patients from 46 Urology services.

There was a high medical need for patients with non-metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (nmCRPC) when several next-generation anti-androgens (apalutamide, enzalutamide, and darolutamide) demonstrated clinically relevant delays in metastasis onset. However, to date, few publications have assessed the pooled effect of these treatments on overall survival (OS). We performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of all randomized, placebo-controlled studies investigating a systemic treatment in nmCRPC.

Background: To describe the patterns of second-line treatment of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) after docetaxel treatment in a Spanish population, to identify the factors associated with those patterns, and to compare the efficacy and safety of the treatments most frequently administered.
Methods: Observational, prospective study conducted in patients with histologically or cytologically confirmed prostate adenocarcinoma; documented metastatic castration-resistant disease; progression after first-line, docetaxel-based chemotherapy with or without other agents.
Results: Of the 150 patients recruited into the study, 100 patients were prescribed abiraterone acetate plus prednisone (AAP), 44 patients received cabazitaxel plus prednisone (CP), and 6 patients received other treatments.

Although thymomas are the most frequent primary tumours of the anterior mediastinum, thymic carcinoma is very infrequent and more aggressive. Combination chemotherapy is the first-line treatment for the advanced stages, but because of the lack of evidence from randomised trials, the management of the successive lines is a challenging field. We report a partial radiological response in the seventh line of a thymic carcinoma stage IV with an oral regimen.
