Case: A 26-year-old healthcare professional presented with knee pain and was found to have Salmonella osteomyelitis of the distal femur. Two operations, including antibiotic bead placement followed by a 6-week course of oral ciprofloxacin, were successful in eradicating the infection.

Conclusion: Salmonella osteomyelitis is a well-known complication of hemoglobinopathies but is unusual in healthy individuals.
