Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 157 kidney transplant recipients (KTRs) who underwent KTX at Charité Berlin, Department for Urology, between February 2014 and December 2017. Patients were divided into two groups: patients with ASA in their preoperative medication (Group A, n = 59) and patients without ASA use (Group B, n = 98).
Objectives: Partial cystectomy (PC) has been proposed as a less invasive alternative to radical cystectomy (RC) for the treatment of localized muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC). The aim of this study was to evaluate the outcome of PC in a contemporary patient cohort to identify potential risk factors for this procedure.

Traditional in vitro and in vivo models for inhalation toxicology studies often fail to replicate the anatomical and physiological conditions of the human lung. This limitation hinders our understanding of intrapulmonary exposures and their related health effects. To address this gap, we developed a ventilated artificial lung system that replicates human inhalation exposures in four key aspects: (1) facilitating continuous breathing with adjustable respiratory parameters; (2) distributing inhaled aerosols through transitional airflow fields in 3D-printed airway structures, which enables size-dependent particle deposition; (3) duplicating the warm and humid lung environment to promote inhaled aerosol dynamics, such as hygroscopic growth; and (4) supporting the cultivation of human airway epithelium for aerosol exposure and toxicological analyses.

As a result, nanopore measurements of these particles significantly deviate from theoretically estimated current amplitudes and detection rates. Here, we show that a hydrogel placed on the distal side of a nanopore can increase the residence time of nanoparticles within the nanopore, significantly increasing the detection rate and allowing improved resolution of blockage currents.
