Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) offers an effective, inexpensive, and reliable approach for the analysis of humoral immune responses. Here, we describe a protocol for measuring anti-fentanyl antibodies generated by the immunization of mice with novel opioid vaccine candidates. We describe steps for coating BSA-fentanyl antigen and standard wells.

Here, we describe a molecular adjuvant comprising a lipid nanoparticle (LNP)-encapsulated mRNA encoding interleukin-12p70 (IL-12p70). The bioactive adjuvant was engineered with a multiorgan protection (MOP) sequence to restrict transcript expression to the intramuscular injection site.

Activated CD8+ T cells (CD38+ and HLA-DR+) were compared among HIV-uninfected (n = 95), cART experienced HIV-infected (n = 111), and cART-naive HIV-infected (n = 21) pregnant women. Immune activation was highest among HIV-infected/cART-naive women but decreased during pregnancy.

To further characterize primary DENV infection in vivo, rhesus macaques were infected with DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, or DENV-4 and clinical parameters, as well as specificity and longevity of serologic responses, were assessed. Overt clinical symptoms were not present after infection.

Specific functional domains within Cdc42p are required for guanine-nucleotide binding, interactions with downstream effectors, and membrane localization. However, little is known about how Cdc42p is clustered at polarized growth sites or is extracted from membranes by Rho guanine-nucleotide dissociation inhibitors (RhoGDIs) at specific times in the cell cycle.
