Circadian rhythms are regular oscillations of an organism's physiology with a period of approximately 24 h. In the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana, circadian rhythms regulate a suite of physiological processes, including transcription, photosynthesis, growth, and flowering. The circadian clock and external rhythmic factors have extensive control of the underlying biochemistry and physiology.
