Acquired haemophilia A (AHA) is a rare autoimmune disorder resulting from antibodies against coagulation factor VIII. AHA causes severe, unexpected bleeding which may be life-threatening and should be considered when a patient with no previous history of bleeding presents with spontaneous bleeding and a prolonged APTT. This case report describes onset of AHA of a 75-year-old male who was admitted to Vejle Hospital with acute need for intubation due to breathing and swallowing problems caused by supraglottic haematoma.

Background: The Voice Handicap Index 30 (VHI-30) is a much-used voice specific quality of life questionnaire. A shortened 10 item version has been developed by eliminating redundant items using item analyses. This is the first Danish translation of the VHI-10.

Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) is used for treating lacrimal duct obstruction and can be performed with an external (EXT) or an endoscopic (END) approach. In this case report a 70-year-old woman suffering from chronic epiphora had earlier been treated with exploration of the lacrimal duct with insertion of a silicone tube. Due to continuous epiphora the patient underwent END DCR revision surgery, where a 4-cm silicone tube was retrieved from the distal part of the lacrimal duct.
