Article Synopsis
  • This research explores the use of untreated recycled tyre fibres as concrete reinforcement, focusing on sustainability and circular economy principles.
  • It compares traditional steel fibres with varying amounts of tyre fibres (25 kg/m and 45 kg/m) and examines their impacts on concrete properties like strength and fibre distribution.
  • The findings suggest that while using tyre fibres can still create durable concrete, it necessitates careful control of concrete parameters due to structural disturbances caused by higher fibre quantities.

The purpose of this paper is to present a new approach for the modelling of post-tensioned beams with calibration of the FE model to experimental results until the load capacity and post-critical state are reached. Two post-tensioned beams with different nonlinear tendon layouts were analysed. Material testing for concrete, reinforcing steel and prestressing steel was performed prior to the experimental testing of the beams.

The purpose of the work is an experimental analysis of the behavior of reinforced concrete beams with a new, patented system of truss-shaped reinforcement. Experimental tests of reinforced concrete beams with conventional reinforcement and with truss-shaped, mass equivalent reinforcement, with two different values of longitudinal reinforcement ratio, were carried out. The testing results of the load-carrying capacity and displacements of beams are presented.

This paper presents research on the impact of fly ash addition on selected physical and mechanical parameters of concrete made with slag cement. Experimental tests were carried out to measure the migration of chloride ions in concrete, the tightness of concrete exposed to water under pressure, and the compressive strength and tensile strength of concrete during splitting. Six series of concrete mixes made with CEM IIIA 42.
