Background: Currently the majority of coronary and peripheral interventions are performed with an overnight stay. This increases the cost and does not reduce logistic constraints on hospital resources. We hypothesised that by combining bivalirudin with vascular closure devices we can safely discharge patients on the same day after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) without increasing their risk of bleeding.

Early invasive treatment strategy employed in patients (pts) with acute coronary syndromes without sustained ST segment elevation (ACS) may be crucial for improvement of immediate and in-hospital results.
Objective: The aim of this study was to find out whether the presence of thrombi in lesions related to instability may negatively affect the results of early invasive treatment strategy and long-term outcome of patients with acute coronary syndromes.
Unlabelled: The aim of the study is the analysis of own results of myocardial infarction treatment using percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in the setting of twenty-four hour long hemodynamic service. Between 01.12.

The examination were performed at the beginning of acute phase of myocardial infarction (period 1), at second to third day (period 2) and after about 10 days of infarction episode (period 3). 77 patients (mean age 56.
