A challenge for cancer vaccines is to elicit immune responses of sufficient magnitude to control malignant tumor growth and spread. In this study, we iteratively screened a panel of 22 lipid-phase vaccine adjuvants in mice for the elicitation of neoantigen-specific CD8⁺ T cell responses, using an integrated peptide-lipid nanoparticle approach. CL401, a dual Toll-like receptor 2/7 (TLR2/7) adjuvant rapidly induced neoantigen-specific T cell responses and improved lymphatic drainage and uptake of the particle.

When treating Hodgkin lymphoma, procarbazine in escalated-dose bleomycin-etoposide-doxorubicin-cyclophosphamide-vincristine-procarbazine-prednisolone (eBEACOPP) is increasingly replaced with dacarbazine (eBEACOPDac) to reduce toxicity. We aimed to investigate the impact of this drug substitution on the mutation burden in stem cells, patient survival, and toxicity.

PNI is characterized by nerve degeneration distal to the site of nerve injury resulting in long periods of skeletal muscle denervation. During this period, muscle fibers atrophy and frequently become incapable of "accepting" innervation because of the slow speed of axon regeneration post injury.

Many factors contribute to osteoarthritis' development and progression, including secondary osteoarthritis' underlying causes. It is important to note that osteoarthritis affects all four tissues: cartilage, bone, joint capsule, and articular apparatus.

Studying the human epicardium and its development from the proepicardial organ is difficult, but induced pluripotent stem cells can provide a source of human epicardial cells for developmental modeling and for biomanufacturing heterotypic cardiac tissues. This study shows that a robust population of epicardial cells (approx.

A retrospective study was conducted to determine the return to work (RTW) rate after TKA. The goal of this study was to provide reference data for the Polish population and identify the factors impacting patients' decisions to return to or resign from work, relative to their functional performance.

Background: Despite high readmission risk for sepsis survivors, the transition-in-care work process from hospitals to HHC has not been described.
Methods: We analyzed semi-structured needs assessment interviews with 24 stakeholders involved in transitioning sepsis survivors from two hospitals and one affiliated HHC agency participating in the parent implementation science study, I-TRANSFER.
Purpose: (1) Identification of musculoskeletal risk factors for healthcare providers suffering low back pain (LBP) and the creation of risk profiles for those individuals and (2) analyze the impact of a workplace wellness program on healthcare providers who suffer from low back pain.
Methods: A total of 3040 employees at an academic healthcare center underwent a computer-adaptive survey of health-related quality of life (HRQOL), biometric tests, and a disability and functional movement assessment as part of the workplace wellness program (WWP). Clinical interventions with a rehabilitation specialist were offered to employees identified as at risk for low back pain.
Introduction: Technical burdens and time-intensive review processes limit the practical utility of video capsule endoscopy (VCE). Artificial intelligence (AI) is poised to address these limitations, but the intersection of AI and VCE reveals challenges that must first be overcome. We identified five challenges to address.

Methods: The study was a longitudinal study with repeated measures. One hundred and twelve subjects who qualified for arthroscopic ACL reconstruction (mean age = 31.
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. The virus binds to angiotensinogen converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), which mediates viral entry into mammalian cells. COVID-19 is notably severe in the elderly and in those with underlying chronic conditions.

To evaluate a low-cost, multifaceted mobilization intervention. We conducted a stepped-wedge cluster-randomized trial across 12 ICUs with diverse case mixes.

In vitro, HCQ effectively inhibits viral entry, but its use in the clinic has been hampered by conflicting results. A better understanding of HCQ's mechanism of actions in vitro is needed.

Therefore, innovative, multifunctional, and safer alternatives are being progressively investigated. Herein, we explored negatively charged carbohydrate, anionic pullulan (AP) as a rapidly soluble film-former and novel anti-HIV agent.

The duration of engagements, the evolution of the tele-CCM service over time, and the distress during interactions with the bedside team have not been characterized systematically. These characteristics are critical for planning the deployment of teleICU services and preventing burnout among remote teleICU providers.

However, the data from CPET consist of multiple time series that require training to interpret. Part of this training teaches the use of flow charts or nested decision trees to interpret the CPET results.

We sought to better understand RT well-being during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this study was to determine rates and identify determinants of well-being, including burnout and professional fulfillment, among RTs in ICUs.

Taking this into account, one can notice the applications of procedures used in the aviation or automotive industries based on the structure of Industry 4.0 in the planning of operations and the production of medical models with high geometric accuracy.

Entry of SARS-CoV-2 requires a high affinity interaction of the viral spike protein with the cellular receptor angiotensin-converting enzyme 2. Novel mutations on the spike protein correlate with the high transmissibility of new variants of SARS-CoV-2, highlighting the need for small molecule inhibitors of virus entry into target cells.

infection (CDI) is a common and sometimes life-threatening illness. Patient-, care-, and room hygiene-specific factors are known to impact CDI genesis, but care provider training and room topography have not been explored. We sought to determine if care in specific intensive care unit (ICU) rooms asymmetrically harbored CDI cases.

We developed a model of "epilepsy-in-a-dish" based on dissociated primary neuronal cells from neonatal rat hippocampus. We demonstrate how a single application of glutamate stimulated neurons to generate spontaneous synchronous spiking activity with further progression into spontaneous seizure-like events after a distinct latency period.
