Prevalence and Influencing Factors of Rubber Dam Use among Tunisian Dentists: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Context: Despite its undeniable advantages, the rubber dam (RD) is still struggling to claim its rightful place as the most effective used isolation tool in endodontics. The study aimed to estimate the prevalence of RD use during endodontic treatment and to identify factors associated with its use by Tunisian dentists.

Materials And Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted.

Color Stability of Microhybrid Composite Resins Depending on the Immersion Medium.

Objective:  The aim of this study was to assess the color stability of two microhybrid composite resins after immersion in different coloring solutions for 4 weeks.

Materials And Methods:  Sixty disc-shaped samples (2 mm in thickness and 10 mm in diameter) were prepared according to ISO standard 4049. Two composite resins were used: Filtek Z350 XT (3M ESPE) and Harvard Restore (Harvard Dental International GmbH).

Titanate nanotubes (TiNTs) produced by the static hydrothermal process present a promising nanosystem for nanomedicine. However, the behavior of these nanotubes in vivo is not yet clarified. In this work, for the first time, we investigated the toxicity of these materials, their pharmacokinetic profile, and their biodistribution in mice.

Outcome of Root Canal Treatment of Necrotic Teeth with Apical Periodontitis Filled with a Bioceramic-Based Sealer.

Introduction: Apical periodontitis is among the most common pathologies in endodontics. The treatment of apical periodontitis has always been an important occupation in the modern practice of endodontics, and the failure has been associated with nonhermetic root canal filling. With that in mind, bioceramic-based sealers have been incorporated into endodontic practice.

Shear Bond Strength of Three Composite Resins to Fluorosed and Sound Dentine: In Vitro Study.

Introduction: This in vitro study compared the shear strength of three composite resin systems to fluorosed and normal dentin.

Methods: Silorane FiltekTM P90, FiltekTMZ250 XT in combination with the adhesive system AdperTM Single bond 2, and Amelogen® Plus in association with Peak Universal Bond® were tested. Fifteen normal and 15 fluorosed dentine disks were prepared per material.

Follicular CD4 T Cells Tutor CD8 Early Memory Precursors: An Initiatory Journey to the Frontier of B Cell Territory.

The early events of CD8 memory generation remain largely unknown. Here we report that as early as 2 days after antigen priming, very early memory precursors can be identified by their expression of the chemokine receptor CXCR5. These early precursors, which have an effector phenotype, expand and temporarily migrate to the T-B cell zone junction where they interact with follicular CD4 T cells (Tfh).

Vital laser-activated teeth bleaching and postoperative sensitivity: A systematic review.

Objective: This systematic review investigated the effect of vital laser-activated tooth bleaching regarding efficiency and postoperative sensitivity. The search for articles was conducted on Medline (PubMed) database. The following keywords were used: "Lasers" [Mesh] and "Tooth bleaching" [Mesh].

Progressive contraction of the latent HIV reservoir around a core of less-differentiated CD4⁺ memory T Cells.

In patients who are receiving prolonged antiretroviral treatment (ART), HIV can persist within a small pool of long-lived resting memory CD4(+) T cells infected with integrated latent virus. This latent reservoir involves distinct memory subsets. Here we provide results that suggest a progressive reduction of the size of the blood latent reservoir around a core of less-differentiated memory subsets (central memory and stem cell-like memory (TSCM) CD4(+) T cells).

FoxP3⁺ regulatory CD4 T cells control the generation of functional CD8 memory.

During the primary immune response, CD8 memory emerges from an environment of strong immune activation. The FoxP3(+) regulatory CD4 T-cell subset (Treg) is known as a key suppressive component of the immune system. Here we report that Tregs are required for the generation of functional CD8 memory.
