Tree planting schemes are implemented to achieve social, cultural, economic, and environmental goals. Various frameworks and guidelines outline good governance practices to aid the achievement of these goals. However, there is rarely sufficient monitoring and reporting of tree planting schemes for it to be possible to determine whether schemes adhere to good governance practices.

Methods: A systematic review of EMBASE and PubMed from database inception to December 2023 was performed to identify studies comparing MIS with open surgery for the treatment of spine metastases.
Objective: Spinal cord injury (SCI) trials have historically underrepresented pediatric patients. There are limited pediatric data examining the influence of surgical timing on complications and mortality for children and adolescents who have sustained complete traumatic SCI.
Methods: The following multicenter cohort study used Trauma Quality Improvement Program data from 2010 to 2020.

Objective: To determine the association between residence in racialized neighborhoods with direct healthcare expenditure and days at home (DAH) after moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Summary Background Data: Differences in ethno-racial background have been associated with health outcome disparities. Much of this prior research was conducted in settings without universal healthcare coverage.
This study aims to estimate real-world clinical practice trends in time to surgery following thoracolumbar spinal cord injury (SCI) in trauma centers across North America over the last decade (2010-2020). A multi-center retrospective observational study was conducted using Trauma Quality Improvement Program data from 2010 to 2020. All surgically treated patients with thoracic and lumbar SCI were included.

Purpose: To inform preoperative education and counseling, we performed a responder analysis to identify factors associated with treatment response.
Background Context: Healthcare reimbursement is evolving towards a value-based model, entwined and emphasizing patient satisfaction. Factors associated with satisfaction after degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) surgery have not been previously established.
Purpose: Our primary objective was to ascertain satisfaction rates and satisfaction predictors at 3 and 12 months following surgical treatment for DCM.
The dispersal of organisms in the Anthropocene has been profoundly altered by human activities, with far-reaching consequences for humans, biodiversity, and ecosystems. Managing such dispersal effectively is critical to achieve the 2030 targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Here, we bring together insights from invasion science, movement ecology, and conservation biology, and extend a widely used classification framework for the introduction pathways of alien species to encompass other forms of dispersal.

After the recall and correction of the problem in the reagent, we studied the significance of SCrAg LFA ≤ 1:10 from January 2017 to October 2023. Of 20 patients with 31 samples of SCrAg LFA ≤ 1:10, 14 patients (70%) were classified as true positives, four (20%) were indeterminate, and only two (10%) patients were false positives.

Objective: To compare likelihood of withdrawal of life-supporting treatment (WLST) and mortality in patients with complete cervical spinal cord injury (SCI) with different types of insurance.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This retrospective cohort study collected data between 2013 and 2020 from 498 trauma centers participating in the Trauma Quality Improvement Program.
Terrestrial and ocean ecosystems are increasingly under threat from an array of anthropogenic pressures. And while threats mount, how people view and value nature is changing. In the United States (U.

We hypothesized a relationship between health insurance status and timing of withdrawal of life sustaining treatment (WLST) for adults with severe TBI.
Methods: This multicenter retrospective observational cohort study utilized data collected between 2017 and 2020.
Importance: Spinal cord injury (SCI) causes drastic changes to an individual's physical health that may be associated with the ability to work.
Objective: To estimate the association of SCI with individual earnings and employment status using national administrative health databases linked to income tax data.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This was a retrospective, national, population-based cohort study of adults who were hospitalized with cervical SCI in Canada between January 2005 and December 2017.
Background: Histone ubiquitination modification is emerging as a critical epigenetic mechanism involved in a range of biological processes. In vitro reconstitution of ubiquitinated nucleosomes is pivotal for elucidating the influence of histone ubiquitination on chromatin dynamics.
Results: In this study, we introduce a Non-Denatured Histone Octamer Ubiquitylation (NDHOU) approach for generating ubiquitin or ubiquitin-like modified histone octamers.
Background: Dexamethasone (DEX) has been shown to reduce pain and postoperative nausea and vomiting for patients undergoing elective total joint arthroplasty (TJA). We investigated the impact of DEX on glycemic control and outcomes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus undergoing elective primary TJA.
Methods: All patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus undergoing primary elective TJA between January 2016 and December 2021 at 4 sites within 1 hospital system were identified.
Background: Spinal metastases are a significant complication of advanced cancer. In this study, we assess temporal trends in the incidence and timing of spinal metastases and examine underlying patient demographics and primary cancer associations.
Methods: In this population-based retrospective cohort study, health data from 2007 to 2019 in Ontario, Canada were analyzed ( = 37, 375 patients identified with spine metastases).
