Objective: Engaging users during physical exercise is crucial for fostering long-term commitment, however, sustaining that engagement remains a significant challenge. This study explores the design of a voice-enabled exoskeleton-based virtual exercise coach (VEC) that provides real-time verbal feedback to enhance user engagement. The objectives of this study are twofold: (i) to compare user engagement with real-time verbal feedback from both VEC and human exercise coach (HEC) during physical exercise, and (ii) to understand users' perceptions and gather their recommendations for improving future VEC technologies.

This systematic review aims to investigate the sensitivity and specificity of a PMCT scan in fracture diagnosis of the hyoid-larynx complex (HLC) compared to traditional autopsy in cases involving traumatic neck injuries. We searched PubMed, SCOPUS and Web of Science and included papers with cases n ≥ 3 published between January 2000 and April 2023 reporting on PMCT and autopsy findings of fractures of the HLC.

If trauma is not addressed, it can create unsafe cultures with constant arousal, untrusting relationships, and the use of coercive measures. Trauma-informed care (TIC) can play a central role in mitigating these negative consequences, but it is unknown how and in which way(s) TIC should be implemented.

The last several years have seen a strong growth of telerobotic technologies with promising implications for many areas of learning. HCI has contributed to these discussions, mainly with studies on user experiences and user interfaces of telepresence robots. However, only a few telerobot studies have addressed everyday use in real-world learning environments.

In practice, it often makes more sense to use video consultations with patients in a more flexible way than interventions permit. The aim of this study was to investigate what constitutes a professional video consultation from the perspectives of mental health professionals and explore what is of importance for the establishment and realization of video consultations in practice.

Stroke is a life-changing event that can affect the survivors' physical, cognitive and emotional state. Stroke care focuses on helping the survivors to regain their strength; recover as much functionality as possible and return to independent living through rehabilitation therapies. Automated training protocols have been reported to improve the efficiency of the rehabilitation process.

Antipsychotics are used as a treatment of delirium in the case of severe degree of a psychomotor agitation. In Denmark, ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) is rarely applied for treatment-refractory delirium, despite a relatively frequent occurrence and despite the lack of absolute contraindications.

At constant temperature, an amorphous glassy state is entered upon a first compression but this glass melts as the density is further increased. In addition to this reentrant transition, a second, smooth transition is discovered between a continuous and a discretized glass.

Acceptance has typically been rated in surveys that do not give a deeper understanding behind the phenomenon. The aim of this synthesis is to explore mental health patients' perceptions of factors that influence their acceptance of video consultations viewed from the perspective of the patient.

Background: The current practice in mental healthcare focus on shared decision-making and self-managing capacity, but poor insight is a predictor of poor adherence and dropout. Engagement in illness management and recovery predict the treatment response.
This naturalistic multicenter study explored the relationship between participating in the Early Recognition Method (ERM) intervention and relapse, defined as spending at least one night at a psychiatric ward. The intervention was tailored to adult patients with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder in an outpatient mental health care setting. Before the intervention, the staff received training in application of the strategy.

Recently, more studies have provided experimental evidence for an etiological role of bacterial factors disposing infected tissue towards carcinoma. When healthy cells accumulate genomic insults resulting in DNA damage, they may sustain proliferative signalling, resist apoptotic signals, evade growth suppressors, enable replicative immortality, and induce angiogenesis, thus boosting active invasion and metastasis.

Following declines in large predatory fish, eutrophication, and climate change, there has been a major increase in the abundance of threespine stickleback () in the Baltic Sea. Two morphotype groups with different levels of body armor-completely plated and incompletely plated-are common in coastal Baltic Sea habitats.

Reduced height and cover of aquatic vegetation in shallow Baltic Sea inlets with high boat traffic have raised concerns about cascading effects on benthic communities in these ecosystems. Here, we characterized the diversity and composition of sediment-associated microbial and meiofaunal communities across five bays subjected to low and high degrees of boating activity and examined the community-environment relationships and association with bay morphometry.

Depth perception is required for the intended interaction within AR environments. Until now, however, it is unclear whether patients after stroke with impaired visuospatial perception (VSP) are able to perceive depth in the AR environment.

Previous global epidemics led to an increase in the number of psychiatric patients presenting symptoms of anxiety or depression. Knowledge about the impact of early lockdown initiatives during the COVID-19 pandemic on the number of healthcare interactions is sparse.

Mental fatigue measurement techniques utilize one or a combination of the cognitive, affective, and behavioral responses of the body. Eye-tracking and electrooculography, which are used to compute eye-based features, have gained momentum with increases in accuracy and robustness of the lightweight equipment emerging in the markets and can be used for objective and continuous assessment of mental fatigue. The main goal of this systematic review was to summarize the various eye-based features that have been used to measure mental fatigue and explore the relation of eye-based features to mental fatigue.

The number of people working from home (WFH) increased radically during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The purpose of this study was therefore to investigate people's experiences of WFH during the pandemic and to identify the main factors of advantages and disadvantages of WFH. Data from 29 European countries on the experiences of knowledge workers ( = 5748) WFH during the early stages of lockdown (11 March to 8 May 2020) were collected.

Interventions for individuals with severe mental illness, especially schizophrenia, often requires support from family or social network to successfully improve mental stability in the life of the mentally ill. WHAT THE PAPER ADDS TO EXISTING KNOWLEDGE?: To our knowledge, no previous review has provided an overview of state of the art intervention elements currently used in ambulant mental health care interventions and how these elements are combined in interventions tailored to individuals with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder.

Yet, theory predicts that in large ecosystems with environmental gradients, shifts should start locally and gradually spread through space. Here we empirically document a spatially propagating shift in the trophic structure of a large aquatic ecosystem, from dominance of large predatory fish (perch, pike) to the small prey fish, the three-spined stickleback.
