Methods: The AUA Quality (AQUA) registry was used to identify patients with a diagnosis of BPH from January 2014 to December 2021. Patient characteristics and procedure characteristics were abstracted.
Receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) overexpression is linked to the development and progression of multiple cancers. RTKs are classically considered to initiate cytoplasmic signalling pathways via ligand-induced tyrosine phosphorylation, however recent evidence points to a second tier of signalling contingent on interactions mediated by the proline-rich motif (PRM) regions of non-activated RTKs. The presence of PRMs on the C-termini of >40 % of all RTKs and the abundance of PRM-binding proteins encoded by the human genome suggests that there is likely to be a large number of previously unexplored interactions which add to the RTK intracellular interactome.

Introduction: To guide improvements in treatment for pregnant persons with substance use disorders within the criminal legal system, treatment programs must first determine the primary substances of concern for this population. The objective of this study is to compare trends in specific substance use upon admission to treatment in pregnancy, based upon whether referrals originated from the criminal legal system or from another referral source.
Methods: This research accessed data on perinatal substance use (1995-2021) and referral sources from the Treatment Episode Data Set-Admissions (TEDS-A).
Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) is a rare relapsing-remitting autoimmune polyneuropathy that targets peripheral nerves and has been associated in the literature with sarcoidosis. The goal of this study is to report the clinical case of a 61-year-old man with sarcoidosis who developed CIDP following lumbar spine surgery. The patient presented at their clinic visit with lumbar back pain and underwent a dome laminoplasty at L2-3, L3-4, and L4-5 with no known complications.

In the absence of a licensed vaccine, adoption of hygiene-based measures may reduce the risk of CMV infection in pregnancy, however these measures are not routinely discussed with pregnant women as part of National Health Service (NHS) antenatal care in the United Kingdom (UK).
