Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is currently one of the most important chemicals posing environmental risks, and there is an urgent need to find methods to efficiently remove PFOA from environmental media. Here, two decaamino-pillar[5]arene-based fluorine-rich polymer networks, called FA2P-P and FA6P-P, were constructed using a convenient method. FA6P-P had an excellent ability to take up PFOA, and had a capacity of 1423 (mg PFOA) (g FA6P-P), which is the second highest adsorption capacity reported for any PFOA sorbent.

Objective: To explore the mechanism of Lingze Tablets (LZT) acting on BPH in rats based on the VEGFA/TNF/IL-6 signaling pathway.

Methods: We equally randomized 30 SPF SD male rats into five groups, normal control, BPH model control, low-dose LZT, medium-dose LZT and high-dose LZT, and established a BPH model in the latter four groups by induction with non-castrate testosterone propionate. After the modeling, we treated the rats in the normal and model groups by intragastrical administration of physiological saline, and those in the latter three groups with low-, medium-, and high-dose LZT respectively, all for 28 successive days.

It reviews existing literature to examine the connections between EBV and various conditions including Sjogren's syndrome, encephalitis or meningitis, and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, emphasizing the importance of EBV positive cerebrospinal fluid. We aimed to develop and validate a prenatal-screening artificial intelligence system (PSAIS) for real-time evaluation of the quality of anatomical images, indicating existing and missing structures.

Methods: Still ultrasonographic images obtained from fetuses of 18-32 weeks of gestation between 2017 and 2018 were used to develop PSAIS based on YOLOv3 with global (anatomic site) and local (structures) feature extraction that could evaluate the image quality and indicate existing and missing structures in the fetal anatomical images.

Halobenzoquinones (HBQs), which are emerging chlorinated disinfection byproducts (DBPs), have attracted increasing attention because they are frequently detected in treated tap water, entrainment water, etc. These compounds are mainly generated during the water treatment process using chlorine, chloramine, and chlorine dioxide as disinfectants, and display more toxic effects than regulated DBPs, such as trihalomethane and haloacetic acid.
