Mitochondrial Rho-GTPase 1 (MIRO1) is an outer mitochondrial membrane protein which regulates mitochondrial transport and mitophagy in mitosis. In present study, we reported the crucial roles of MIRO1 in mammalian oocyte meiosis and its potential relationship with aging. We found that MIRO1 expressed in mouse and porcine oocytes, and its expression decreased in aged mice.

High-precision molecular manipulation techniques are used to control the distance between radical molecules on superconductors. Our results show that the molecules can host single electrons with a spin 1/2. By changing the distance between tip and sample, a quantum phase transition from the singlet to doublet ground state can be induced.

Two dipicolylamine (DPA) derivatives with the pyrene and anthracene groups, 1-(pyren-1-yl)-N, N-bis-(pyridine-2-ylmethyl)benzylamine (L1) and 1-(anthracen-9-yl)-N, N-bis-(pyridine-2-ylmethyl)benzylamine (L2) were synthesized, characterized, and their affinitive properties for metal ions were studied. The mass spectroscopy and Job's plots showed that L1 and L2 reacted with Cu and formed complexes [Cu(L1)(solvent)] (L1-Cu) and [Cu(L2)(solvent)] (L2-Cu), respectively. Both L1 and L2 were fluorescent probes recognizing Cu via the emission quenching and further detecting HS via the emission revival.

Two 3D/2D anionic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), [Cu(HL)] () and [Mn(L)(DMF)] ( (DMF = ,-dimethylformamide), were synthesized by the solvothermal reaction of metal salts and 5'-(4-carboxyphenyl)-2',4',6'-triethyl-[1,1':3',1″-terphenyl]-4,4″-dicarboxylic acid (HL). Objective: To investigate the cause of the production of anti-D and anti-E mixed antibody in an RhD positive patient.

Methods: The ABO/Rh blood group typing and irregular antibody specificity were identified by conventional serological methods, the gene exon 1-10 and heterozygous analysis were performed by sequence-specific primer polymerase chain reaction (PCR-SSP), and the whole exon sequence was analyzed by first-generation sequencing.

Results: The patient's Rh blood group was weak D Type33, with the allele was , the patients was found to be heterozygous, with an Rh typing of Ccee, and the patient had developed anti-D combined with anti-E mixed antibodies.

Pericardial-esophageal fistula is a rare complication after radiofrequency ablation for atrial fibrillation. A 52-year-old man developed pneumopericardium, which was revealed by echocardiogram and computed tomography, after a combined ablation and left atrial appendage occlusion procedure for atrial fibrillation. This editorial highlights the study which investigated the potential of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) as an adjunctive therapy in oral cancer management. The study included 80 patients with oral cancer to evaluate the effects of the Tongluo Jiedu prescription on inflammatory stress markers, peripheral blood T-cell subsets, and overall immune function. The results indicated that Tongluo Jiedu substantially enhances immune function and reduces oxidative stress, thereby aiding in patient recovery and potentially minimizing treatment-related complications.

A photochromic dysprosium-based single-molecule magnet [Dy(CyPhPO)(HO)](PMoO) ⋅ 3CyPhPO⋅HO (1-Dy) is synthesized via cocrystal engineering of a polyoxomolybdate (POMo) anion and an Ising-type cation with pseudo pentagonal bipyramidal geometry. Upon ultraviolet irradiation, Mo-to-Mo single-electron photoreduction occurs in the POMo moiety, resulting in significant changes of optical and magnetic properties. The emergence of intervalence charge-transfer transitions in heteropoly blue state 1-Dy* facilitates photothermal conversion in near-infrared region.

We report a case highlighting the global prevalence of atrial fibrillation (Afib) and the increased use of ablation therapy, underscoring the importance of understanding its complications, especially atrio-esophageal fistula (AEF), a rare but potentially fatal outcome. This case involves a 38-year-old male who underwent radiofrequency ablation for Afib and was subsequently hospitalized with abrupt left-sided weakness. Nanozyme catalytic therapeutic efficacy is limited by the finite enzyme activity and specificity. In this work, nitrogen-doped carbon loaded with a cerium single-atom nanozyme (Ce SAs@NC) is synthesized, exhibiting tumor specificity and excellent multiple enzyme-like activities. To explore the impact of air pollution on hospital visits for mental and behavioral disorders among residents in an industrial area in Henan Province from 2016 to 2021. Daily outpatient visits data for mental and behavioral disorders, as well as air pollutants and meteorological data during the same period, were collected from Angang General Hospital in Angang Industrial Zone at Anyang City between January 2016 and December 2021. A generalized additive model was used for time-series analysis to examine the relationship between daily average concentrations of nitrogen dioxide (NO), sulfur dioxide (SO), fine particulate matter (PM), inhalable particulate matter (PM), carbon monoxide (CO), and ozone (O) with a lag of 0 to 7 days on the number of visits for mental and behavioral disorders among residents.
