Methods: The J-SMART study database of 322 Japanese individuals with body mass index (BMI) ≥32 kg/m who underwent LSG between 2011 and 2014 at 10 centers accredited by the Japanese Society for Treatment of Obesity were analyzed. The subjects were classified into two groups: ≥65 age group (range, 65-76 years; n = 25) and <65 age group (range, 22-64 years; n = 297).

This study compared and evaluated the image recognition capabilities of GPT-4V and Gemini Pro using questions from the Japanese National Dental Examination (JNDE) to investigate their potential as educational support tools.

This study presents 2 new cases of HPV-independent VAIt with lymph node metastasis and discusses their clinical presentation, histopathologic features, and whole exome sequencing (WES) analysis. Both cases exhibited histologic features consistent with VAIt, including tubular, papillary, and mucinous carcinoma components.

In recent times, innovative surgical robotics have emerged and gained widespread adoption. This study aimed to compare the perioperative outcomes associated with robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) using three different robotic surgical systems: da Vinci surgical system (DVSS), hinotori surgical robot system (HSRS), and Hugo robot-assisted surgery system (HRASS). Our study involved a retrospective analysis of clinical data from 149 individuals who received RARP from 2022 to 2024, utilizing the DVSS (n = 81), HSRS (n = 52), and HRASS (n = 16).
