Background: Pulsed field ablation (PFA) has gained attention in cardiac electrophysiology, but data on its application to paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia are limited. This study aimed to assess the feasibility and safety of PFA and its combination with radiofrequency ablation for treating paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.
Methods: A prospective, multicenter, single-arm study was conducted across 8 centers in China.

Purpose: Concussed adolescents often report visual symptoms, especially for moving targets, but the mechanisms resulting in oculomotor deficits remain unclear. We objectively measured accommodative and vergence responses to a moving target in concussed adolescents and controls.
Methods: Thirty-two symptomatic concussed participants (mean age, 14.
Hepatic ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) damage is one of the most common side effects of liver surgery. This pathophysiological process may lead to excessive hepatic damage. Aloperine is an active ingredient isolated from Linn and has a variety of therapeutic effects, including organ protection.

Inflammatory retinal diseases such as diabetic retinopathy (DR) and age-related macular degeneration (AMD) are prominent causes of blindness in industrialized countries. The complexity of these diseases, involving diverse cell types and pathways that give rise to a multifactorial pathogenesis, complicates drug discovery. As such, therapies exhibiting polypharmacology are expected to improve outcomes through broader disease stage coverage and beneficial spatiotemporal effects.

This study aimed to evaluate the differences in efficacy and safety of best medical treatment (BMT) plus endovascular treatment (EVT) versus BMT alone in acute BAO across different stroke etiologies.
Methods: The study was a post hoc analysis of the ATTENTION trial (Trial of Endovascular Treatment of Acute Basilar-Artery Occlusion), which was a multicenter, randomized trial at 36 centers in China from February 2021 to September 2022.
Bronchoscopic-assisted discrimination of lung tumors presents challenges, especially in cases with contraindications or inaccessible lesions. Through meta-analysis and validation using the HumanMethylation450 database, this study identified methylation markers for molecular discrimination in lung tumors and designed a sequencing panel. DNA samples from 118 bronchial washing fluid (BWF) specimens underwent enrichment via multiplex PCR before targeted methylation sequencing.

Homeobox-containing 1 (Hmbox1), a homeobox family member, has been identified as a putative transcriptional repressor and is downregulated in the exercised heart. However, its roles in exercise-induced physiological cardiac growth and its potential protective effects against cardiac I/R injury remain largely unexplored.

Here, we report patient-derived tumor-like cell clusters (PTCs) for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), capable of conducting 100-5,000 drug tests within 10 days.

In this study, the authors aim to examine the value of longitudinal circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in guiding adjuvant chemotherapy, optimizing clinical surveillance strategy, and thereby improving CRLM outcomes.
Materials And Methods: The authors conducted a prospective clinical trial using a personalized, tumor-informed ctDNA assay to monitor 60 CRLM patients undergoing resection with curative intent.
Background: This study aims to evaluate limited data about daily physical activity patterns, influential factors, and their association with 1-year mortality or rehospitalization after transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) through smartwatches.
Methods: Consecutive severe aortic stenosis patients undergoing elective transfemoral TAVR in a Chinese tertiary hospital were enrolled from July 2021 to May 2022 and received a Huawei smartwatch at least 1 day before TAVR. The primary outcome was a composite of all-cause mortality or hospital readmission within 1 year.
Immunotherapy of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) has been challenging because the lack of tumor-specific antigens results in "on-target, off-tumor" toxicity. To unlock the full potential of AML therapies, we used CRISPR-Cas9 to genetically ablate the myeloid protein CD33 from healthy donor hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs), creating tremtelectogene empogeditemcel (trem-cel). Trem-cel is a HSPC transplant product designed to provide a reconstituted hematopoietic compartment that is resistant to anti-CD33 drug cytotoxicity.

Presented here, is the final analysis of MAGNOLIA, performed to characterize the durability of response and longer-term safety and tolerability. Zanubrutinib (160 mg twice daily) was evaluated in 68 patients with R/R MZL who had received at least 1 anti-CD20-directed regimen.

Herein, we disclose the design and initial structure-activity relationships for a new biaryl aniline PPARα agonistic chemotype. Notably, this series exhibits subtype selectivity for PPARα over other isoforms, a phenomenon postulated to be due to the unique benzoic acid headgroup.

Thus, recovered patients still need to be vaccinated to prevent reinfection by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or its mutated variants. Here, we report that the inactivated COVID-19 vaccine can stimulate immunity in recovered patients to maintain high levels of anti-receptor-binding domain (RBD) and anti-nucleocapsid protein (NP) antibody titers within 9 months, and high neutralizing activity against the prototype, Delta, and Omicron strains was observed.

Thus, we aimed to explore the presence of reperfusion injury in acute ischemic stroke patients with recanalization after mechanical thrombectomy and analyzed its impact on neurological outcome.
Methods: We reviewed our prospectively collected database CIPPIS (Comparison Influence to Prognosis of CTP and MRP in AIS Patients, NCT03367286), and enrolled anterior circulation large artery occlusion patients with recanalization after mechanical thrombectomy who underwent (1) computed tomography (CT) perfusion on admission and immediately after recanalization to determine reperfusion region, and (2) CT and/or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) immediately and 24 hours after recanalization to determine lesion areas.
Small molecule kinase inhibitors (SMKIs) are being approved at a fast pace under expedited programs for anticancer treatment. In this study, we construct a multi-domain dataset from a total of 4638 patients in the registrational trials of 16 FDA-approved SMKIs and employ a machine-learning model to examine the relationships between kinase targets and adverse events (AEs). Internal and external (datasets from two independent SMKIs) validations have been conducted to verify the usefulness of the established model.

Methods: Using the EVT for Acute Basilar Artery Occlusion (BASILAR) study, we identified consecutive patients with acute basilar artery occlusion receiving EVT in 47 comprehensive stroke centers in China from January 2014 to May 2019. The primary outcome was favorable functional outcome (defined as modified Rankin Scale score [mRS] 0-3) at 90 days.
