Background: The incidence of operative treatment of distal radius fractures (DRFs) has increased recently, but the optimal timing for surgical fixation remains unclear. T-cell redirection therapy using chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells and bispecific antibodies (BiAbs) has shown promising efficacy in heavily pretreated patients with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM), leading to the approval of 2 CAR T-cell products and numerous BiAb trials.  To evaluate the rate of surgery for symptomatic malunion after nonoperatively treated distal radius fractures in patients aged 55 and above, and to secondarily report differences in demographics, geographical variation, and utilization costs of patients requiring subsequent malunion correction.  We identified patients aged 55 and above who underwent nonoperative treatment for a distal radius fracture between 2007 and 2016 using the IBM MarketScan database. SASH1 (SAM and SH3 domain-containing protein 1) is a tumor suppressor protein that has roles in key cellular processes including apoptosis and cellular proliferation. As these cellular processes are frequently disrupted in human tumours and little is known about the role of SASH1 in the pathogenesis of the disease, we analysed the prognostic value of SASH1 in non-small cell lung cancers using publicly available datasets. Here, we show that low SASH1 mRNA expression is associated with poor survival in adenocarcinoma.

Background: Approximately 56% of patients diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome present with bilateral symptoms; however, few studies have investigated bilateral simultaneous endoscopic carpal tunnel release (ECTR) and postoperative effect on return to activity. Technoeconomic and life-cycle analyses are presented for catalytic conversion of ethanol to fungible hydrocarbon fuel blendstocks, informed by advances in catalyst and process development. Whereas prior work toward this end focused on 3-step processes featuring dehydration, oligomerization, and hydrogenation, the consolidated alcohol dehydration and oligomerization (CADO) approach described here results in 1-step conversion of wet ethanol vapor (40 wt% in water) to hydrocarbons and water over a metal-modified zeolite catalyst. A development project increased liquid hydrocarbon yields from 36% of theoretical to >80%, reduced catalyst cost by an order of magnitude, scaled up the process by 300-fold, and reduced projected costs of ethanol conversion 12-fold.

Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease that is associated with effector T cell (Teff) destruction of insulin-producing pancreatic beta-islet cells.
