Background And Objectives: Primary objectives: to compare the rates of sustained clinical remission at 12 months in patients treated with antitumour necrosis factor (anti-TNF) and immunomodulators who withdraw anti-TNF treatment versus those who maintain it.
Secondary Objectives: to evaluate the effect of anti-TNF withdrawal on relapse-free time, endoscopic and radiological activity, safety, quality of life and work productivity; and to identify predictive factors for relapse.
Design: Prospective, quadruple-blind, multicentre, randomised, controlled trial.

On the basis of results from 310 MRI studies, including both basal and follow-up studies, in 128 athletes with muscle tears including their clinical evolution, the authors review MRI findings in muscle healing and propose a practical imaging classification based on morphology and signal intensity that correlates with histologic changes.

Introduction: Excessive sun exposure and sunburns are the main preventable causes of skin cancer. The growing popularity of outdoor sports in developed countries has motivated the objective of this work to study the risk of photoexposure and the skin cancer prevention needs of athletes in an extreme race and evaluate an intervention targeted at this population.
Methods: An observational study was conducted during the XXIII edition of the 101 km de Ronda race, which consisted of trail running and mountain biking categories.
This study focuses on investigating the EVAHEART 2 left ventricular assist device (LVAD) toward designing optimal pump speed modulation (PSM) algorithms for encouraging aortic valve (AV) flow. A custom-designed virtual patient hemodynamic model incorporating the EVAHEART 2 pressure-flow curves, cardiac chambers, and the systemic and pulmonary circulations was developed and used in this study. Several PSM waveforms were tested to evaluate their influence on the mean arterial pressure (MAP), cardiac output (CO), and AV flow for representative heart failure patients.
