OME-Zarr: a cloud-optimized bioimaging file format with international community support.

A growing community is constructing a next-generation file format (NGFF) for bioimaging to overcome problems of scalability and heterogeneity. Organized by the Open Microscopy Environment (OME), individuals and institutes across diverse modalities facing these problems have designed a format specification process (OME-NGFF) to address these needs. This paper brings together a wide range of those community members to describe the cloud-optimized format itself-OME-Zarr-along with tools and data resources available today to increase FAIR access and remove barriers in the scientific process.

Antiviral Treatment of HCV-Infected Patients with B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma: ANRS HC-13 Lympho-C Study.

Unlabelled: Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is associated with lymphoproliferative disorders and B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas (B-NHLs). Evaluation of the efficacy and safety profiles of different antiviral therapies in HCV patients with B-NHL is warranted.

Methods: First, we evaluated the sustained virologic response (SVR) and safety of Peg-interferon-alpha (Peg-IFN) + ribavirin +/- first protease inhibitors (PI1s) therapy in 61 HCV patients with B-NHL enrolled in a nationwide observational survey compared with 94 matched HCV-infected controls without B-NHL.

The h(c)((1)P(1)) state of charmonium has been observed in the reaction psi(2S) --> pi(0)h(c) --> (gammagamma)(gammaeta(c)) using 3.08 x10(6) psi(2S) decays recorded in the CLEO detector. Data have been analyzed both for the inclusive reaction, where the decay products of the eta(c) are not identified, and for exclusive reactions, in which eta(c) decays are reconstructed in seven hadronic decay channels.

Identification of three novel mutations (E196K, V203I, E211Q) in the prion protein gene (PRNP) in inherited prion diseases with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease phenotype.

Inherited prion diseases are characterized by mutations in the PRNP gene encoding the prion protein (PrP). As the other sporadic or infectious prion disease forms, they are almost all characterized by the accumulation in the brain of an abnormal misfolded form of the patient's PrP. Brain extracts can often transmit the disease once inoculated in a recipient animal.
